  1. Fabulous news, you must be so proud of both your dd's. I hope your youngest dd continues to make a good recovery. Sending best wishes xxx
  2. Hi Balletqueen there is only one class at Manchester with all 3 year groups together. The class has currently 16 in it.
  3. At Manchester the y7/new starters are taught separately for the first few weeks then all the 3 year groups come together into one class. Good luck to everyone waiting. I remember if felt like such a long wait after the WL finals.
  4. Just let your dd wear the leotard she is comfortable in and have a great day out. I remember my dds JA audition. I had unfortunately packed her big sisters leotard by mistake (identical apart from size- standard cherry red tank ) Lets just say it hung a bit !! Thankfully her underwear wasn't too jazzy as it could be seen in certain positions! She enjoyed the audition and we went for cake afterwards. (and she was offered a JA place despite her saggy leotard)
  5. thank you Twiglet and pastel .I have my fingers crossed for your dd Twiglet x hang in there irishballetmom I hope a place comes available x

  10. My dd's ballet teacher has suggested she might like to enter a solo in this new competitionhttp://www.rad.org.uk/events/moving-north-regional-heat-2 She has never done anything like this before (her dance school doesn't usually enter competitions) my dd is going to give it a go as it gives her an opportunity to learn a solo and she'll find it fun whatever happens. I just thought it may be of interest to other ballet co members x
  11. Wishing all ballet co members and their dcs a Merry Christmas and a fabulous 2015 x
  12. Had an email yesterday to say due to the number of applicants we will now be notified by the 30th January if dd is successful or not. Will keep my fingers crossed for a bit longer.
  13. Thank you Sheila . Trust my dd to pick something that is now discontinued :-(. I will see if she likes any other colour or maybe see if she'll wait for her birthday (in Jan) when more options may be available
  14. Thank you taxi4ballet and twiggy. I think we'll try and find a small pair somewhere. However they seem to sold out everywhere especially in the colour my dd has asked for (purple) I think purple may be a discontinued colour. !!!
  15. My DD has asked for a pair of Bloch dance warm up boots in purple off her grandma. She's just a size 4 . Could anyone advise me what size would be best as small goes to size 4.5 so I was wondering if this would be big enough or go for the next size up ? Thank you
  16. My 11 year old dd also wears the smallest size of the tesco ladies nude seamless knickers. She says they are very comfortable.
  17. :-( none of them near enough for us.DD will be sad.
  18. I felt sick opening the letter this morning, but it's good news my dd has got a yes for Manchester. So very pleased for her. I know she will appreciate how lucky she is to get offered a place.
  19. Congratulations dancing girl. I'll be on the lookout for the postman tomorrow.
  20. My dd auditioned at Manchester. Still no mail for us. Hopefully it will arrive soon. So very sorry for the no's. I'm almost dreading getting the letter.

  22. So sorry for your dd fudge.Massive good luck for Elmhurst. X
  23. I think we have been very lucky with my dd's school. They have been very supportive and even organised a school trip to see her in a EYB performance a couple of years ago! I know of other children whose schools have not been very supportive at all
  24. My dd's school have a celebration assembly in church and her headmistress told me they were going to celebrate my dd's achievement on getting to the WL finals and explain to the children how difficult this is. This kind gesture will hopefully go someway to helping my dd feel better about getting a no and also appreciating how fantastically well she did to get so far.:-)
