My DD has hers custom made as she has a high very strong arch. She has never really had to break them in. We used to find she just broke the shank! Even a strong one would last 3 weeks even with shelac. Now they last but take 6 weeks to be made. So we have to stay ahead of the game. X

I know of a female JA in class with my DS 3 years ago who went to wl final and didn't get wl or MA. Central School of Ballet do not have a lower school but run a very good associate programme.x

My DS auditioned for JA's for the first time for yr6 and got a yes. He also got Royal Ballet Summer School. I was surprised as he had the proportions, musicality and performance but he didn't appear to have turn out or the feet. Well over the last year his turn out and feet have really developed now his legs have grown more.So it was there all along! It has taken 3 years to show as he is yr9 now. X

I wondered if it was those that were auditioning that had got one but clearly not as you've had one Tulip. Equally we haven't applied for 3 years. Never had a email or letter before. DD got Directors Waiting list last time. Very curious now. X

We received a nicely worded email from the Royal Ballet yesterday late afternoon inviting parents to audition their child for Summer School. It came from the Summer School email address not Auditions. Has anyone else received one yesterday afternoon? Not sure why we have one.X

Congratulations Busy Mum. Which year has your DD applied for? In the past only yr7&8 go to funding final. I'm not sure if that still applies. X

Hi, anyone know what a DS aged 13 (senior audition) will be doing in Sleeping Beauty? -
My DD did todays upper school audition. What was lovely was that they stopped the audition for the two minute silence and asked them to bow their heads. The Audition was 1 hour in and still had 30 mins left to go. X

Thank you thequays. He is really looking forward to it. He has EYB Sleeping Beauty in March too. His Sister has Upper school auditions as she is in yr11. So going to be a busy 6 months here. X

The Vienna Festival Ballet are coming to a nearby theatre to do 'The Nutcracker' and my DS has been very lucky to be asked to dance in it. Any idea what sort of roles they get youngsters to do? X

So pleased that we went to the audition it was a lovely experience very welcoming and friendly organisers. My DS got placed in the senior section. X
