Sending GOOD LUCK to all auditioning for Upper School today xxx
-
Does anyone have any thoughts on a realistic number of auditions to attend - my thinking is go for the ones you really want, but in doing that if not successful it may then be too late to apply for others particularly if you need funding - what a conundrum!!
-
Swan Princess - I think that like any further education course,if you do not make the grade it might be suggested that you might like to pursue something else - I know that 2 pupils were not admitted back to 6th form after their AS results this year at my son's school. If you are talented enough to secure a place you have earned it - you would only be assessed out if it proved that for some reason the course was not right for you - there are no guarantees in life! Good luck with your auditions!

Can anyone tell me if the accommodation is on site or in hostels. Did the planning application go through? is the work underway? sorry for so many questions!

Thank you from me too

Hi all - I am wondering if any of you have DC who are at Northern Ballet School (Manchester) or if not, participated in the audition process last year. If you are willing to share your experiences of the school and the diploma offered I would be very grateful. Many thanks

Royal Conservatoire of Scotland - BA Modern Ballet

Here we are Encouraged. . . European law dictates that EU students must be treated the same as those in Scotland. Everyone born in Northern Ireland is eligible for a Republic of Ireland passport under the terms of the Good Friday Agreement. There has been an expectation that students from elsewhere in the UK may try to win exemption from Scottish fees by acquiring dual nationality. Having a parent, and in some cases even a grandparent, from an EU country such as France and Germany opens up that possibility. Under new legislation that will come into effect from 2013/14, dual nationality university applicants from the rest of the UK will be required to prove that they have previously exercised their right of EU residency to qualify as an EU student. ( am checking my family tree tonight !! ) -

It is strange isn't it - I believe that it is the same for university fees and was challenged in the courts - the case brought lost It seems we in England are only "european" when it suits the powers that be - blatant discrimination if you ask me - but what would I know?!
