Balletfanp
I was lucky enough to attend last night. A great interview with interesting questions and even more interesting responses - despite Vadim saying at the beginning that he hoped we wouldn’t be too bored (as if)! He has a really lovely personality and how lucky we are to have him over here.

LBC
Unfortunately, the "In Conversation" evening with Henry Danton (the centenarian dance teacher and former RB dancer) has had to be postponed until June because Henry has decided not to travel from the US at the moment. There will thus be no event this coming Monday, 16th March.
alison
What a shame, although to be expected, especially given his age.
LBC
I know that repetition is normally against BCF rules but, since it is important to avoid people turning up for cancelled events (as happened last night for Henry Danton, despite notices in the LBC Newsletter and on its website as well as on here), a belt and braces approach is hopefully forgiveable in the circumstances. The following LONDON BALLET CIRCLE events have now been postponed or cancelled until further notice: Anna Rose O'Sullivan, First Soloist of The Royal Ballet "In Conversation" - was 6th April Visit to Dance Forward Easter Course at the RAD - was 11th April Visit to Freeds - was 20th April Visit to The Royal Ballet School - was 28th April An Evening of Words and Music with Gavin Sutherland Music Director/Conductor of ENB - was 5th May Remembering Rudolf - a special reflection on Nureyev's life and work including reminiscences, film and dance - was 18th May It is hoped to be able to resume activities in June! Fingers crossed as there are some exciting guests in prospect in addition to those above. Members are being notified by e-mail or letter but, in view of the wider interest of this programme, it seems important to post the news here as well. Meanwhile, there are some reports online of recent conversations with guests from the ballet world which people might be interested to read: https://www.tlbc.org.uk/lists/3-reports
LBC
Unfortunately, Dance Europe did not change the notice about Anna Rose O'Sullivan at The London Ballet Circle on the 6th April to indicate that the event was cancelled. It is, of course, but Anna Rose will be 'in conversation' as soon as possible once life settles down.

Therefore, to be on the safe side, we will be sending out the joining information to LBC members only. Members of balletcoforum who wish to 'attend' the talks will be very welcome to do so but please would you send your name and e-mail address to info@tlbc.org.uk so that you can be included in the circulation (which, for the event on the 13th July, will issue during the weekend immediately prior)...............
