  1. Well, I manage the Barbican alright without having to use the cloakroom, but I've downsized my man-bag to a just bigger than A4 sized delivery bag so it's less of an inconvenience in concert halls, theatres etc.
  2. The cardboard tickets have a QR code on them, so they can be scanned too.
  3. IMHO that's very odd principle. If my coat folds up and fits under my chair without blocking the air conditioning vents (or even in front of my legs if I'm in the front row) what concern is it of anyone else?
  4. Just a reminder that the downstairs cloakroom (like the downstairs gents loo) is temporary and will return to the ground floor once the works are completed. As an aside, as the gents will eventually become an extension of the ladies, the plumbing is set up for cubicles - this makes the layout of the urinals rather odd!
  5. I have SCS D26 available for Wednesday 24 May. Face value is £6. Please PM if interested.
  6. According to the press release tickets go on sale on 26 July, which is public booking for the Autumn period.
  7. There's no U55 in the stalls (there's no anything 55 in the stalls). Must be amphi.
  8. Forskitt left during the run of Sleeping Beauty. Picture
  9. Well, I and the ladies I bumped into at SW yesterday had the same top 3 (but not all in the same order).
  10. Ditto. I wasn't sure whether to go tonight or not (still having many memories of last Friday's Bonelli, Morera, Cowley et al show) but this has probably tipped the balance.
  11. Thats not quite right; Marie's parents entered into a morganatic marriage the year after she was born.
  12. Sorry you're having to see your old programmes. You might want to post a link here.
  13. Thought, of course, Rudolf had already given her a three storey house and plenty of money...
  14. I don't think that's correct. Rudolf's daughter was the main beneficiary of his will with some legacies made to members of the household and staff.
  15. I assume you mean Rudolf had an affair with Helene Vetsera when Mary was only five years old...
  16. One might argue that it was the beginning of a chain of events that lead to both the First World War and the end of Hapsburg rule.
  17. The horse that won the 2000 Guineas and the Derby in 1836 was called Bay Middleton. May be a connection?
  18. Well patrons' booking has already begun. If you don't think patrons should get casting early, are you suggesting they should book blind of casting? I'd find that thoroughly unsatisfactory. And the "embargo" seems to work pretty well on the basis of the last couple of years. I don't see what the problem is, provided no-one is in the position of booking without knowing the casting.
