  1. yes. the site crashed for me too and I kept getting error messages. it’s frustrating but it’s not personal. it happens frequently on other sites that have massive surges in demand. I suppose that on the ROH site today, frantic opera lovers overloaded the site trying for Fidelio tickets
  2. I’m also old enough to remember when there were Police close enough to intervene if there was trouble or an incident. Happy days 🙃
  3. If a ticket doesn’t come your way, it’s the Live screening in cinemas this evening. That ought to have close ups
  4. If anyone has a spare SCS ticket for Swan Lake on Sunday 22nd March, now or closer to the performance I’d love to buy it. thanks Peter
  5. From the ROH website: Is there a dress code? There is no dress code – feel free to dress up or down. I have attended performances at which audience members of all ages & sexes have worn all manner of dress be it up, down or sideways. I see this as a visual representation of the wide appeal of ballet and opera to a hugely diverse audience. Surely that’s something to be celebrated and cherished rather than smirked at?
  6. Perhaps the role is going to be shared as Laurie McSherry-Grey has posted on his social media that he’s been rehearsing M&A with Alina at Sadlers Wells.
  7. Are you looking at the TodayTix App? I can’t go but thought I’d pass the offer on. Just sample checked and for Thursday there are Stalls row D for £35 instead of £87 and Second Circle row H for £15 instead of £31.
  8. TodayTix has a 24 hour offer with reductions of up to 62% on all price bands across the run. Tickets from £15
  9. TodayTix now has a 24 hour offer with reductions of up to 62% on all price bands across the run. Tickets from £15
  10. At tonight’s gala, the pas de deux from Far From the Madding Crowd due to be danced by Tyrone & Delia was substituted with a pdd from Cinderella rehearsed with only 2 days notice and danced by Tyrone & either Miki or Momoko due to Delia being injured. Hope this sheds some light on the cast changes.
  11. I experienced this as an outstanding and astounding evening of works by diverse choreographers curated by Carlos. This is a polished, original, immaculate, emotional programme which showcases the depth and diversity of talent in this small gem of a company. I don’t know if he’ll dance every show but my evening was rounded off by a solo from Carlos himself. I was minded to think of a fashion designer joining his models on the catwalk to celebrate his collection and bask in the adulation. Whilst all the pieces were of the highest quality, El cruce sobre el Niàgra will stay in my memory indefinitely. I found it extraordinary.
  12. thank you Jan, i tried but failed to rotate, technology often eludes me
  13. this is what I got clicking on the link to casting on my e-ticket
  14. If my Spanish is correct this is a photo of Nela and Bolle dancing Onegin in Milan (“it was a beautiful night in Milan seeing Onegin ... those situations that remain there, saved as jewels” ) if i’m wrong then perhaps we’ll see them tomorrow night....
  15. Ticket now sourced thank you BCForum 🙏🏻
  16. Re the Heritage programme, this comes from the recent BRB press release: “ Celebrating the company’s rich history, Birmingham Royal Ballet will join its sister company The Royal Ballet and Yorke Dance Project at The Linbury Theatre in May 2020 as part of an evening celebrating the choreographers who have shaped the Royal Ballet companies’ shared history. The evening, titled Heritage, will feature Birmingham Royal Ballet performing Sir Frederick Ashton’s Dante Sonata (1940, performed at the Linbury Theatre, 14-19 May 2020).
  17. By way of comparison, at the Madonna concert last night the audience surrendered their phones into locked pouches on entry, opened only on leaving the venue or in designated ‘phone use’ areas away from the auditorium. As Madonna said “I’ve staged an intervention on behalf of all of us, I want you to be present tonight, I want you to be here with me.” And we were. 100% in the moment, all attention on the stage. How refreshing. What a showwoman 👏🏻
  18. Bumping this 🙃 (again 🤞🏻) Still looking still hoping there’s a ticket out there for me.... 🤞🏻
