I think this is a great idea dance should be available to all whatever there income there is lots of funding and help for all sports but once dance is mentioned no one seems to help at local level .

we are lucky also i often go to our great theatres to name but a few BRB SCOTTISH and Moscow also oportunities for proffesional off stage classes.

Julie W RBS recommends you use express dance supply i found the information in the uniform guide , My local stockist does not sell freed ballet shoes this is why i was asking .

hello i chaperoned in Newcastle everything is straight forward and hopefully you will enjoy your experience as long as the children are happy all will be well. Yes take headache tablets and lots of water , it really is very hot xx

surgical spirit can also be used to clean point shoes just wipe over and let them dry .

all children are different and learn at different paces at auditions it is the whole package that matters not what grade you are in. However scholerships are different this is when grade experience can come into the equation as dancers need to perform and pick things up quick due to a little amount of time, they dont have long to prove themselves and they have not been working week in week out . I was told Grade five ballet is a must if at an older age you want to be considered for any kind of dance or theatre work.

Well done to all the yes letters and sorry for the no letters the ballet world is a hard world to get to grips with but never give up trying . Determination is one of the core elements all dancers need to progress.

even at JA level the RBS are looking for a number of different reasons why the Ja is chossen it is certainly not just on physical propotion alone as anyone who has had a DD in JA s will know go back to the letter recieved after the audition that states the critira how children are choosen children could only have one of these elements missing to be turned down. Like everything in life there will be dissapointments unfortunatly its part of life . Anyone who has seen a JA class will know all the children work very hard but most of all they are gaining invaluble training .

Hi my advice is; If in doubt do nowt .

my DD is RBS junior soon to be mid i agree the children need to be able to concentrate really hard as they are worked hard throughout their class partner and centre work is also done and yes my DD has also enjoyed national dance alot of work is done on excercises in both class and at home . MY DD also enjoys the variation and learns alot at her lessons that she does not do in graded lessons the class is set to each year groups needs . MY DD has certainley enjoyed her year as a JA and is looking forward to September when she will be MA.

hi it depends on the age younger JA potential year 5 now going into yesr 6 September technique but not necessary to be in a high grade one of the most important things is concentration span as the classes are very focused good luck to all auditioning and let us know the outcome .
