  1. On the booking page by tapping each ballet individually shows the cast for that ballet. Hope that helps
  2. Just home after Francesca's debut? as Juliet. I am not knowledgeable enough to give a critic of her performance but, for me, it was just wonderful, with Matthew partnering her so well. There is a magic about this girl, you just have to watch her. Great ovation at the end. She is going to be huge, come on RB nurture this talent. Can't wait for what's next. Loved tonight, fantastic.
  3. I meant in the sense that, for example, Ashton requires a certain type of skill to convey the steps etc. Not good enough was perhaps not the correct expression.
  4. Does he not do "classical" roles. Never seen him cast for R & J, Swan etc. Is that his choice or is he not considered good enough?
  5. Good Point. There is a resistance against more abstract works in the audience generally so I assume "friends" are no different. I thoroughly enjoyed both of them.
  6. I will not comment on the dancing but it was very noticeable that the auditorium at the rehearsal was nowhere near full, certainly in the stalls and stalls circle there were plenty of seats. Seems to confirm the unpopularity of the ballets.
  7. Is Francesca's debut performance on the 23rd or has she danced it earlier in the run?. Having a senior moment!
  8. I must say I really enjoyed Sarah's interpretation of Juliet with Vadim last night. I thought her "silent scream" was very effective and her whole manner throughout the performance was pretty spot on. Vadim must be great to dance with, he looked totally secure all night and when dancing himself acted the role perfectly. Thiago as Tybalt was very menacing as were the support cast particularily the harlots who had a whale of a time. danced very well. I am also a little puzzled as to why the Mandolin dance is their, did not seem to have any purpose to it and was not part of the story. The band was pretty good last night too. All in all, great to be back and looking forward to the rest of the season.
  9. She has been rehearsing with Vadim as Matthew has had visa problems
  10. I can only echo earlier comments, I too had hoped to see her dance with Vadim in R & J and Steven in the Tchaikovsky. When was she injured and what is the injury, does anyone know?
  11. Its the final this Saturday Harwel, not next week.
  12. No disrespect to Mr Golding I would love to see Vadim partner Franki.
  13. The tube strike has been called off - so make sure you get to the Ballet Association on Wednesday night. Can't wait.
  14. Is there also an issue surrounding ticket prices as well. If you have paid £100+ for one would you be happy not having "star" names dancing the leads. Is that something management have to consider?
  15. He must have something sorted out, why leave somewhere like the RB, artistically and financially, if there is nothing waiting. One assumes he hasn't been asked to leave so he must have plans in place.
  16. I could be mistaken but has he had problems keeping fit over the last few years, one injury after another.
  17. There is only one thing that will stop me being their, and that is not a Trade Union, but the birth of my first grandchild.
  18. I never thought of that. There is an overland into Kings Cross goes through New Southgate. I imagine though that it would be cancelled wouldn't it, even if Alina could get their how many would there be in the audience. One for sure.
  19. " I don't believe it" After looking forward to this since it was announced I have just heard on the news that there will be a tube strike that day. I could absolutely swear.
  20. I am in Thailand so far away from ballet news, home soon.
