Also look out for RAD Associates. My DD does the class in Birmingham once a month, the cost is very reasonable and the teaching is excellent. Tring CA is worth a try out. We didn't get in two years ago and then auditioned for MTB instead which is absolutely fabulous and lots of fun.

I downloaded the form which is linked above and that is where I found this weight/height chart. Some children are naturally thin and fine boned but I think limiting children at such a small age is quite tragic. It is such a shame that certain schools have certain looks and then cut out such a lot of talent. I do love to watch POB but I also love the ATB where girls are more muscular. nose off despite faces comes to mind!

Despite being super slim and fit according to their regulations my DD is overweight!!! That has to be very unhealthy!?

Hi dtadmin glad you posted as I might not retake the photos as it is such a pain. If they want bare legs for the audition then surely tights and shoes are not needed.

Warning about photos for Hammond. Only when I was dotting the i's and crossing the t's did I notice that they want the photos with ballet tights on and ballet shoes plus degage to the front on both sides but with bare feet!!! plus SAEs to e included in the package. Photos really are a nightmare!!

i am just sticking a small passport size photo to the application form. The other photos I am attaching with paperclip - just the poses though. I don't think it matters that much as long as they can identify the girl on the form to the girl in the poses. I am going for hair down in passport size photo but pulled off her face. It is funny how each one of the four vocational school have different pose requirements. WHY?

It's funny my DD loves wearing her white leo. She wore it at Tring this Easter and also at Cecchetti SS. I think black must be out!!

I was also thinking YDA. I wished we lived in London as this would be a great place for my DD.

They ask for a head and shoulders shot in the Elmhurst Application form. Is this also hair in a bun or can it be more natural?

I thought it was lovely to see the girls from CSB looking all different shapes and sizes.

Ahh she is lovely! I'll show DD when she gets back from MTB and no doubt she will want a similar outfit. Think we will have to wait for Mr Xmas!

I would not worry about it too much but advice about seeing a dance physio is a very good idea.

I must admit I do feel like a pain asking questions which have already been discussed. I do the searches but sometimes I don't quite find what I am looking for. I hope one day when we are further down our journey I can help people out as much as people have helped me since I joined earlier this year. What is the length of the piece they have to do and can they chose between ballet or modern?
