Good choice Bailarin , RCS was my dd's favourite too. Not had an offer though, maybe something will shake out over time.

Agree with taxi, Central don't know who has other offers so i would suggest they have simply sent offers to the ones they want the most, first! Wonderful to hear your news audsjcanuk!

Have established that some RCS offers are also out so it really will be like musical chairs for the next month or so! Fingers crossed that everyones DC's manage to land somewhere suitable.

Yes it does drag on and is a big distraction, such a range of schools involved though both FE and HE with overlapping student groups. Has anyone heard anything from Conservatoire of Scotland btw after finals last week?

I think, but she would need to contact school of course to check but I guess they are closed for easter...that I have heard that there is one on 13 th april and then there one on 30 th April but I am not sure if this is just for reserve recalls...so not sure if that helps!

I am sure i came across a list of yumi contacts recently- seemed to be dancers from various companies in UK....sorry cant remember where abouts it was but a bit of searching should unearth it. Loulabelle - i think they are reps for yumiko leotards- a trendy make that you can customise!

She is a superb dancer from what I have seen on social media. This has to be a bit of a game changer though for BRB as Miko has, if instagram figures real, 168 k followers, so that must be unusual for an artist to come in with such a following.

Rambert is a well regarded school. I would say more liklihood of going into contemporary dance than classical as a result of training there but they do 50/50 and that is not based on much knowledge. My dd auditioned this year and i think they said they get around 400 applications per year and an intake of 50 which they may reduce a bit. Not everyone is selected for audition and they have finals on the same day as the audition. Those recalled onthe day do one or all of their prepared solo, physio, interview. They have a reserve list and this year have a further recall for reserves. The intake is a range of 16 to over 20 year olds,it seems like a happy place on visiting and the new director seems to have good plans for the school. There were some students who had travelled across the world to be there when my dd auditioned so it must have a strong reputation. There are some videos of the school on youtube.

My dd didn't apply for these schools though I know a lot of dancers have applied and have the same dilemma! Probably will come down to individual choice and access to funds as both seem to offer a good standard of training. I guess ballet west has more of a track record and course accreditation is clearer, but BTUk seem to be generating a lot of buzz and seem to be working hard to make it a success.

Yes, agree does n't seem significant. The skipping stuff seems to have been an unusual challenge though!

Don't suppose you could post a picture of that Legseleven? My dd's pointes always coming off at heel despite various configurations of elastic over time.

Central finals- does anyone know how the finals work? Noticed on the invitation letter it said dancers should plan to stay around for longer than the times given due to possible recalls?..not sure what these recalls are eg class or interview, anyone know? trying to work out when she may be home today! Thanks
