It's where you tint your hair so that it is lighter at the bottom. I suppose if you really know what you are doing you could graduate the tint. My niece had her long hair done last year and it looked absolutely gorgeous.

Oh - I shall definitely make the effort to come to London for that Artem. It will be my first time of seeing the company but having read so much about them I am already excited!

Hello Mellingblomst and welcome to the Forum! I don't know if there is any good time to ask your parents if you can colour your hair! Ask any time they are in a particularly good mood. Perhaps if you could show them a picture of the colour you want it may help. By the way, I love the Royal Danish Ballet and I wish you every success!

Quiet, isn't it?
Jan McNulty replied to Ian Macmillan's topic in Performances seen & general discussions
Well Ian, you spurred me on! Have any members been to see Cubaniana? Please let us know what you think! -
I've seen two performances of Inala over the last couple of weeks - the first a matinee at Sadler's Wells and then on Friday evening at the Liverpool Empire (where, most unusually for me, I saw it from the circle). This is a show with a real feel-good factor - perfect for a light-hearted night out. I've never seen Ladysmith Black Mambazo before so I don't know if they usually move around/dance so much but the singers (as well as being utterly fabulous) really melded well with the dancers. The dance movements were lovely and sinuous and lyrical. I loved the bird head-dresses that were worn from time to time. I found the final 2 sections both moving and uplifting. Sitting in the circle on Friday I enjoyed the lighting effects on the floor (which had completely passed me by in the front stalls at Sadler's Wells). All the dancers looked great but I must mention Jacob O'Connell who is a 2nd year student at Rambert and was, IMHO. sensational! Definitely a young man to watch out for in the future. If anyone else has seen this production I would love to know what you thought.

The Gala, Newport, Isle of Wight

Thanks for the report Duck - sounds good. I've not made it to the Isle of Wight yet... -
I find parking in Manchester ruinously expensive. I tend to use the NCP at the back of the Palace Theatre in Whitworth Street. It's very handy for your venue but last time I parked there for a whole day it cost me £14! It would be much more economic if you could use public transport. BTW, I always enjoy the food and ambience in the Java Cafe, on the slope up towards Oxford Rd station.

I found this via Facebook and thought it was a lovely idea for little stocking fillers or parties and is a nice craft activity for youngsters: http://funcraftskids.com/marshmallow-ballerinas/
