capybara Posted June 30, 2018 Share Posted June 30, 2018 Following the Dance Europe article about the RBS 'class of 2005', this list invites a follow-up. No less than 5 Principals (including one who opted out) here and abroad and another surely heading that way sometime soon. I think that both Delia Matthews and Sergui Polunin were 3rd Year RBS Upper School in 2007 when he came first in YBDY and she came second for the second year running (having been runner up to James Hay the year before). Of the others, Nicola Henshall has been freelancing since she left ENB and Freya Thomas is in Munich. No doubt others on here can help to fill in other details. So many of those YBDY winners became professional dancers and several amongst them became Principals at the RB, BRB, ENB,.. Nicky spent a year and a half ish performing in An American in Paris on the West End and as you said she is doing lots of freelancing as well as teaching.
