  1. Just had a reminder on YouTube for the next Insight which is on Monday at 19:30 (I wasn't aware of this beforehand so would have missed it!) - oddly its for The Sleeping Beauty - I would have thought that they would have broadcast this before the current run, but there we are! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sPSKJhC34Qw
  2. Some pictures from the RoH's Flickr account for your enjoyment https://www.flickr.com/photos/royaloperahouse/albums/72157711750194633
  3. Absolutely - certainly one of the best insights I have seen (and that’s even watching on my phone in my hotel room!) I don’t think I’ve seen Leanne Cope presenting before- she was excellent
  4. I get an automated message after a visit, saying they hoped I enjoyed a performance and asking me to complete a survey - it only has two questions: did I enjoy it (1 to 10) and would I recommend someone to visit (1 to 10)
  5. mmmm not good. I would take it up with RoH - clearly some training needed there! I would suggest mentioning in the review that one gets sent after a performance but since it only asks two questions and doesn't give any opportunity to comment, I won't !
  6. James Hay and Anna-Rose were lovely - a beautiful partnership. I'm just not that keen on SB !
  7. What a terrific evening at the cinema. So glad to have seen Concerto (which I missed on Saturday) which I thought was fantastic. The lighting was a bit too dark for Engima but i think I "got it" this time. Raymonda was a splendid way to finish. Off to the general rehearsal of Sleeping Beauty on Wednesday. I may be a bit ballet-ed out ! I would also just say how impressive the general presenting, interviews and behind the scenes videos are for the screening - and what a lovely guy James Hay is !
  8. Well not a good start as missed Concerto due to train delays as a result of fallen trees on the line, and, despite running up 193 steps at Covent Garden, it had already started. Watching on a big screen in the Crush Bar is not quite the same thing ! Anyway despite not being in the best frame of mind, I thoroughly enjoyed Engima and Raymond - Osipova clearly having a ball. I can hopefully watch it all when I see the cinema screening on Tuesday night.
  9. As ever I thought the RB's contribution to the Day was fascinating. I am pleased that it happened to coincide with a day off work so I was able to watch much of it live! I can now catch up and watch the bits I missed whilst clearing the garden!
  10. Brilliant photos thank you - where were you sitting to take those?
  11. My first time seeing Manon this afternoon. Hope everyone enjoys 🤗
  12. For those crossing the river from Waterloo, my preferred option is to use the Jubilee footbridge - less likely to be targeted and has the advantage of not having to breath in traffic fumes!
  13. I don't know if anyone else went this morning to see the RB's morning class on the main stage. Absolutely fascinating and well worth a visit if they do it again next year. A couple of photos - obviously these are well before it started hence the small numbers on stage [photo deleted by mods]
  14. Some photos https://photos.alastairmuir.com/Ballet/Royal-Ballet/Merce-Cunningham-Centennial/
  15. I hadn't actually realised there was no running time on the website - how ridiculous is that? Thankfully I am going to the Saturday matinee which starts at a very early 12noon, but still...
  16. I think this is being streamed on YouTube as well this year - which is great given the Facebook issues.
  17. That was reasonably smooth this morning - certainly better than last time! 😊 Hope everybody manages to get what they want
  18. I am pleased to see William Bracewell as Romeo as he was of course out through injury during the run earlier in the year so missed his opportunity (and as I had booked to see him as Romeo in May!) 😊
  19. Looks fantastic - I wasn't aware at all about this, so was so surprised when I started getting posts about this afternoon on IG. Unfortunately I was supposed to be concentrating on my work rather than my phone !
  20. Or even quite a nice sunny afternoon! I thought it was a very interesting read particularly following the Prince George kerfuffle.
