  1. "Night Tube strikes — until Sunday 4 December The planned strike action on Friday and Saturday nights on the Central, Jubilee and Victoria lines between 20:30 and 04:29 the following morning, has been extended until Sunday 4 December and will now also impact the Northern line. While Night Tube services are still running regularly, if you are using these lines on a Friday or Saturday between 19:00 and 06:00 the next morning, you should check before you travel. For the latest information on how services are expected to run, please visit our website. Tube Central, Jubilee, Northern and Victoria lines On Fridays and Saturday nights we expect: A regular service on the Central line(at least two trains per hour through central London) A regular service on the Jubilee line (at least three trains per hour). A regular service on the Northern line (four trains per hour expected through central London) A good service on the Victoria line If you are using the Central, Jubilee, Northern or Victoria lines on a Friday or Saturday between 19:00 and 06:00 the next morning, you should check before you travel. https://tfl.gov.uk/campaign/tube-strike?cid=tube-strike It's been bad enough trying to avoid Fridays and Saturdays when booking for the ROH, where I do at least have alternative options, but this is going to make it really difficult for Sadler's Wells, too
  2. If I read it correctly, there are no trains serving London Bridge, Waterloo East and Charing Cross all weekend.
  3. I have booked tickets for the Ballet Cymru triple bill at the Lilian Baylis Studio, Sadler's Wells in November. I'm not familiar with the area and wondered if anyone could suggest somewhere decent, but not too pricey to eat before or after the performance. Also, I'll be staying in Bermondsey, any tips regarding public transport would be welcome. Thank you !
  4. My daughter would like to see Manon for her 16th birthday which is on the 3 October. She happens to have a school teacher training day on her birthday so I was thinking of either leaving work early and whisking her straight to London after school (we live in York) for the opening performance on the 2nd to see Lamb and Vadim and staying over or day tripping down on her actual birthday for Cuthbertson and Ball. She would adore either cast. If we day trip then the last train back is at 11. Do any experienced ROH goers get this train and how tight is it time wise getting from CV to KC at that time? Thanks!
  5. Spotted in Friday's Evening Standard (Google on "shutdown between Moorgate" if you want to read it in full) is a report that the Northern Line extension is "due to open in September 2021, but there will be a 17-week shutdown between Moorgate and Kennington, after work to increase capacity at Bank station". No dates are given as yet, but while not directly affecting Angel tube, and hence Sadler's Wells, it will mean that at some stage there won't be a Northern Line service between London Bridge/Bank and Angel, for several months. Moorgate is also one of the tube stations for the Barbican, so travel to events there may be affected as well.
  6. Received an email from TFL today to advise:- anyone in London who might have used the cross river RV1 service to/from Covent Garden this is being withdrawn from service shortly. Also amends to the 59 this will terminate at Euston now not Kings Cross.
