  1. Yes, she said she signed off the letters. Hope it is an email. could it be tomorrow?
  2. I think the other two might be more about body type and facility as especially for boys you hear of children getting places with very little previous dance training or from a gymnastics background. I think I have made a decision and it isn't for any of the schools listed above but I think it is the best fir for my ds.
  3. This whole process is really hard on parents, isn't it? I try to be very objective about my dc, but obviously that is not that easy. My DS got in Tring but no funding, to be fair he did not have a proper solo and initially I had said we did not need funding on the application (but asked to add him later). In my opinion, Tring looks for children who are already performers and maybe for children who have performing experience (such as festivals competitions, or even musicals). Anyway, so we are very happy to have an offer albeit without funding. The Hammond, we are delighted to have been considered for funding and to have a place as with the jazz, solo and vocals requested I really did not think he would be considered.
  4. Yes, it is a long form and they ask you tick to confirm that you have sent the 160 to the Finance Dept. You can complete the form without having paid but need to tick that box which could imply liability?
  5. Thank you @Crazylifecrazykids have they said anymore about the MDS audition, whether on zoom or still planned for March?
  6. Hi Everyone, Has anyone registered for the Hammond yet after receiving the acceptance letter? I am just curious as I saw on social media some people are attending a second round of auditions on zoom this week, I don't think it is for MDS but just a second round for entry. Has anyone made a decision about current offers and decided to stop waiting for Elmhurst and WL? All the best to everyone waiting, it is so reassuring and comforting to have this forum as always. xx
  7. Hi, when my ds got into young dancers (a couple of years ago) I remember getting the email during half-term as we were away. I don't know but anything is possible at this point. xx
  8. Hi, I was just curious, is there a waitlist after WL finals?
  9. @Raquellewe had to sign a form saying that we agree to provide covid tests results before attending. The deadline to submit this new form is the 8th of February, so maybe SWL will hear after that.
  10. Hi and congratulations to everyone. I posted on the wrong thread earlier but just wanted to say ds has a place with no funding. The also would want the registration deposit by the 22nd of Feb which might be earlier than we hear from other schools. Have you applied to other schools @Whiteduvet
  11. Thank you so much for your kind words! Yes, I know who your very talented son is too. Did your ds apply to Tring as well? Hope to see you guys soon. xx
  12. Hi Everyone, Not sure if this the right thread but ds got Tring for year 7 WITHOUT funding. It was in the post today. Hope other people have at least the opportunity to audition for funding. Love to all waiting. xx
  13. My DS loved the Tring residentials and was exceptionally allowed to board at 8 the first time as we could not commute. I thought last year RBS allowed August born children to apply for Summer Intensives but not Spring, though I might be wrong. @balletboy8 I am sure your ds will be fine but feel free to get in touch closer to the time (assuming all goes ahead) and our dss can make contact before the course (my ds is year6 though).
  14. Yes, they need a test before attending the Spring Intensive, and the swabs sample should not be older than 72 hours. They won't accept the rapid test, as PCR is still considered gold standard.
  15. Thanks @balletboy8, I was planning to have the test kit delivered early (it is valid for 6 months) and take the swabs myself and send them back and then results are pretty quick. I will look into it more. Always good to be prepared.
  16. Sorry to hear some dc can no longer attend. Why does the covid test need be be booked 28 days in advance? I had bought a private test kit in September and it was delivered the next day.
  17. If they go ahead, they might ask for a negative covid test, so they should let people know with enough notice. So much uncertainty.
  18. Lol, yes I got 2 somehow today. At least the JA weekly zoom link email is clearly labelled.
  19. Congratulations! The registrar confirmed it is for a place and the audition in March for funding. Seems like everyone on the forum got good News!!!
  20. Regarding the Hammond, they confirmed a place and the recall is for funding. Congrats everyone! Wasn't their deadline in February? I am over questioning things but definitely happy.
  21. I had the same about the Hammond. They also mentioned they were impressed with his 'seafairing' solo, I am not sure his solo could be interpreted as that. I find their emails a bit confusing, they are also asking to submit registration form which we had already done when we applied.
  22. Maybe your DS is known to the school as an associate YD so they might look at other applicants first? I promised myself not to go into analytics and drive myself even more insane. but here I am with the dumb question, how do you know the number of viewers that are not yourself? I was trying to look into the geographical location of views but that function is unavailable. xx
  23. Just got the email from Hammond saying 'Congratulations!', I thought ds might have made it to finals a bit of let down as it was just a welcome to the audition process email.
