    We were told not to use this method if asymptomatic. Will you have to isolate as a household? and also as you said it is still risky in terms of getting the results on time though we might try that way... For the lateral flow test, as they are a government a initiative, they should only be used to test staff or secondary school pupils. My ds school also have their own SAMBA machine for testing and are unwilling to test him even if you paid for it.

    The number no longer works, you get through the upper answer phone and I was sort of expecting them to give more info today. The cost of a pcr test with rapid guaranteed results is 249 with the certificate. I think not just meant to be for us, doubt Spring intensive will work for us either.

    I am just curious but do we think all JAs who applied have been invited to finals? It is hard to speculate how many have been invited to finals just from this forum, but does anyone know of any JAs who have not? I think 30 boys went to finals last year and 15 joined? There are still holding just one day for the boys final though they said they need to have small groups due to Covid?

    I was able to book my ds for a test for this evening as a trial and had a booking for the 10th of March, unfortunately they said he was too young at the testing centre. Having a confirmed booking does not guarantee eligibility for the test.

    She definitely said all the boys for year 7 but please contact them, as I would not want to be responsible for misinforming someone. I hope they confirm as much by email soon too.

    I am not suggesting that the audition is moved to zoom at all but contacting the school, I think the school should be aware that the vast majority is unable to source the test. I still think that WL should be able to offer on-site testing to those unable to source a test or for those who chose to. This would be outside of the building in a different area and so would not affect the rest of the audition class if a test was positive.

    Richmond does offer tests to under 16 to their residents. I tried to book a test with the Travelodge postcode (lol)but they only take bookings up to 7 days in advance. Just an idea..

    Lol, that is what I told them. I am amazed as to what we are putting ourselves through as parents because of the prestige of a name.

    This is what she told me as I said it would be hard to book a pcr not knowing the audition date and she confirmed it would on the Friday. She is sort suggested to wait as they will raise the issue with the school and maybe let us know. If you book a PCR on the NHS based on having symptoms your whole household would have to isolate until you get results and private pcr are around 100 pounds or above. I would suggest more parents call them to raise the issue. xx

    I spoke to them and the the auditions for the boys for year 7 will be on the 12th and they do not have a solution and are not allowed to test children that are not currently their pupils.

    Thank-You so much, I will ring. In my opinion, they should test on the audition day and provide them on site, the result would be a better indicator of whether someone is infectious at that time.

    No, they do not ask for age. Once you get there an adult would input all the details from a phone. So I am worried it won't work now. Thinking of booking ds for today and see, as it is hard to get through anyone on the phone.

    For Elmhurst, to apply to the extended young dancers or equivalent to mid associates, we would have to do a separate application , right? Or do they sometimes offer it to children who attended the year 7 audition?

    Yes, I remember thinking that at the time but as I have a boy I think the only option is London anyway.
