  1. This one http://www.pathelive.com/programme/the-bolshoi-ballet#programme should do the trick, I think.
  2. Don't the Friends specifically ask you not to? They used to.
  3. I think it was about 2 1/4 hours the night I went, actually. It may depend on whether they do the same pdd (and the Dying Swan) each night.
  4. Casting finally seems to be out for Birmingham. If anyone can find it on a less ghastly page than this one http://www.brb.org.uk/whats-on/event/swan-lake please post the URL! All I can say is that I hope Brandon is getting a performance at Sadler's Wells. Grrrrr ...

  6. Sad news, but good to have the information out this far in advance. I thought buying tickets for her first and last Juliet would mean she couldn't be injured for all of them, but obviously I was wrong Best wishes to her for a full (and speedy if possible) recovery.
  7. I've caught them already in this run. It's a few years since they were last in London, but it strikes me that the technical standard has gone up even further for a number of the dancers. In particular, Yekaterina Verbosovich, who I've admired since she joined the company, appears to be becoming a real ballerina. I'm not quite sure why, but she kept reminding me of Marianela Nunez, which is a very high compliment. I thought they'd brought the Esmeralda pas de six before, but don't remember it being like that ... Really looking forward to the "new" Don Quixote and probably my all-time favourite, Go For Barocco, next week
  8. This is rather remiss of us: we don't appear to have a "ballet in the cinema" thread for the forthcoming season. We have separate threads for the Royal Ballet here: http://www.balletcoforum.com/index.php?/topic/9490-royal-opera-house-cinema-season-20152016/ and for the Paris Opera Ballet here: http://www.balletcoforum.com/index.php?/topic/10557-paris-opera-ballet-live-in-cinema/ yet seemingly we don't have one for the Bolshoi, although I know we discussed it. Can anyone remember where it was, please?
  9. But of course if you wanted to see her you could catch one of the cinema screenings, as a last resort if there are no tickets left.

  11. A good deal, provided that you're feeling rich http://www.travelzoo.com/uk/local-deals/London/Entertainment/192244/Royal-Opera-House?utm_source=localdeal_uk&utm_medium=email&utm_content=2108004&utm_campaign=2108004_html_london_deal%3a192244
  12. Indeed, if that *is* the case Is there any official confirmation? I haven't been keeping an eye on how he's been doing, I'm afraid.
  13. I have knee problems, too, and have found that ballet seems to *help* them - provided I'm careful, of course.
  14. BBC4, this Tuesday, 9 pm: Lucy Worsley's Reins of Power: The Art of Horse Dancing (!)
  15. BTW, has anyone watched The Next Step (CBBC), which I've just spotted on iPlayer?
