Also envious. Tickets (and great seats!) came up today but with appointments earlier today i wasn't sure i would be able to juggle everything.

So much to enjoy in the Cecchetti Society Centenary Gala - It was lovely to see the petit allegro interweaved in the demonstrations -- knowing one is not getting an abundance otherwise in pieces on current ROH view. Then the main meal commenced - so many highlights, James Hay was SPECTACULAR in the Florestan/Florimund variation, Bracewell was oh, so brilliant in his two pieces - the second leading a wonderfully lyrical Hayward in the main Rhapsody adagio, then the blisteringly brilliant Nunes PDD for Brandon Lawrence and the ever glorious Tzu-Chao and Joe Sissens - surely now the cherry on top of everyone's current cake - was simply sizzling in the Bluebird PDD. NO INTERVAL TOO which made the overall impact all that much more potent. Bless the organisers for this gift.

Ooh- what a fantastic programme and cast! James Hay in the Act 2 Florimund solo, Beatrice Parma and Max Maslen in Coppelia Act 3, and Brandon & Tzu Chao in Interlinked! The rest of the cast and the programme are brill too- glad to have seen many of them dance those brilliant pas de deux and solos. Wish I had been free to go to it. Thank you for the review, Bruce, and the post, Geoff.

Well I loved it; very emotive and beautifully danced. And echo everything else that Bruce has said.

I wasn't at the gala but I saw Interlinked in Birmingham in June.  The whole piece was just gorgeous and Brandon and Tzu Chao were exquisite.
