  1. Well Kevin was asked the question and made two important points. First, going on tour is an option under each dancer's contract so it is up to them whether they want to go on a specific tour. Secondly, he thinks mixing culture and politics is a dangerous game that should be avoided. He also mentioned that the invitation to tour came from the Bolshoi, not the Russian government.
  2. And I wouldn't expect him to. If particular dancers don't wish to travel for any reason, it's not appropriate for the director of the company to make those names or reasons public. If the decision were made that the company should not travel, that would have to be made following discussions with a number of interested parties (including the FCO). As of last week, the tour is still on.
  3. I've edited the title to include the company name and avoid confusion with the David Essex song!
  4. I am sure the moderator(s) who is/are dealing with this (not me) will act accordingly once they have finished their deliberation.
  5. Just to be clear, the post was hidden as it was reported by a user who is not a moderator.
  6. It's not unusual. In those cases, the critics normally attend the evening performance.

  8. It's beside the small information desk by aisle A of the cloakroom. Those who follow me on twitter may have seen my selfie beside it!
  9. I have moved the original post to the existing thread here and locked this thread.
  10. Let's remember that quite a number of the current absences are due to illness, not injury.
  11. I'm involved in a charity collection and it's amazing how many fake £1 coins come through (some good replicas, some atrocious). We have a list of the distinguishing features for each series of £1 coin to check against.
  12. With most supermarkets there's a £1/€1 refundable deposit.
  13. It wasn't "last minute" - there was a change slip for Woodland Glade in the house and other fairies were as cast.
  14. "Finger pointing" is Golden Vine (the longest of the fairy variations if you exclude Lilac) and it was Elizabeth Harrod last night.
  15. Looked like a political comment to me.
  16. Let's leave politics off this board. There are enough places for people to discuss such things.
  17. ENB tweeted on 13 March that the remaining casting details will be released "early next week".
