  1. They are hoping to go for early mobilisation and her school is primed with a dance psychologist on hand to help deal with emotions at missing dance classes and of course there will be support from the physio. She is hoping to get back to barre this week but, two weeks on from the op, still tires very easily so we will have to see thanks for all the support folks
  2. She is only worried about getting back to training asap. Back to hospital next weds so we will have more idea what we are dealing with then Thanks for the good wishes... It has been a horrendous few weeks
  3. One of my dcs broke her arm really badly on the 11th so haven't looked since then.
  4. I have just looked at the photo link from the YBSS website (Frequently asked questions) and a whole load more photos seem to have been added since I looked last
  5. I was happy to find some other photos of my ds dancing he had a fab time and made so many new friends. He found the teachers inspirational and thoroughly enjoyed dancing with the older boys in A1 ( he was in A2) . Trouble is... He wants to go back next year.....
  6. Will also depend on the shape of her feet. Banana feet seem ro go through lots.
  7. Hi...they audition them by age group and gender on different days. Can't remember how soon before they let u know specific days but could depend on number of applications for each age group .
  8. He he. My ds usually has a hand covering his face or is watching
  9. My ds was quiet yesterday... Think he was already missing his friends from the first week. Am sure he'll make some more this week .
  10. Wish I could have seen the mini show today.
  11. Ds buzzing after class by yosvani ramos. Seems like they are having a fab time.
  12. Phoned my ds last nighy and heard much laughter and joviality in the background. He was already hVing a ball and the dancing hasn't even started yet! How lucky they all are! My lad misses boarding as he is now a day pupil at his school so was really looking forward to this. I am looking forward to watching their lottle performance in 2 weeks' time. If any ballt. Coers are there hope we get a chance to say 'hi'.
  13. my son is 13...has just done Intermediate....first exam since grade 2
  14. Hi ho Hi ho...it's off to York we go. Son looking forward to the 2 weeks of summer school....but I am not looking forward to the drive
  15. Yes...the bigger stage and room to move let the kids shine. The orchestra sound was just so good. They did themselves proud!
  16. The show was soooo good! ( and i'm not biased as my lad wasn't doing much) . An amazing concept! On a high
  17. It is on at Tring ( I am seeing it Saturday) but i think it will be better to see it with the live 70 piece orchestra in Aylesbury and on a bigger stage. The theatre is too small to have the orchestra in Tring.
  18. Well done to all the yesses. I remember just how excited we were when my dcs got theirs Dancing2003.. Are you planning to do both elmhurst and Eastleigh. I used to take my eldest dd to Birmingham every Saturday. We lived in Hants and it meant a very early start.... Although we got back for about 3, we were both shattered by the journey:( I guess it depends how equidistant u live away and Eastleigh is easy to access off of the M3. How lovely to have both offers though
  19. Another real bonus was the friends that were made along the way for my dcs and for me. Many were the same children they would be auditioning with for vocational places and that made the auditions considerably less daunting... And they are still close to the friends they made on those schemes.

  21. We have 4 of those sweatshirts filling the wardrobes! I should get rid of them but they have a bit of sentimental value!
