  1. and despite the following notice, there are now 73,000 in the queue! General Sale tickets have now sold out. There are still a limited number of tickets remaining for ATG+ members and Access Scheme customers, if you continue to hold. At a later date, 5,000 tickets at £25 will be available exclusively for under 30s, key workers and those receiving government benefits, on every level of the auditorium – including the front row. Details of when these tickets become available will be announced soon.
  2. Most people will only attend once, or if a devotee, once per programme so two shows clashing on one night isn’t a disaster. Perhaps the schedules have been done considerately such that an Ashton devotee can visit London to see three different programmes on three successive dates meaning only 2 nights accommodation is needed?
  3. we think we have problems queuing on the ROH website for tickets.... when priority tickets for Tom Holland in Jamie Lloyd's upcoming Rome & Juliet went onsale at 8am this morning the queue had over 50,000 people in it. the priority sale tickets were exhausted before demand was satisfied and people had to join a new general sale queue at midday. there are currently 35,000 people in that queue. the 'limited' run is 12 weeks (watch out for an extension announcement). with the Duke of York's theatre seating capacity of 640, 12 weeks x 8 shows x 640 = 61,440 total. looks like someone is going to be disappointed.
  4. it is listed on the ROH website: 8 JUNE 2024 SATURDAY, 7.45PM ASHTON GALA: VALSES NOBLES ET SENTIMENTALES / DANCE OF THE BLESSED SPIRITS / VARRI CAPRICCI / FAÇADE LINBURY THEATRE GUIDANCE: Suitable for all tickets are £10, £30, £45, £60, £110
  5. Rhapsody is in both triple bills too. the difference would appear to be that whilst Les Rendezvous will be danced by the Royal Ballet in Bill 1, in Bill 2: "a selection of short works, including Five Brahms Waltzes in the Manner of Isadora Duncan, Hamlet and Ophelia and The Walk to the Paradise Garden performed by Sarasota Ballet.
  6. see my comments above. (If the performance you are looking for says it has limited availability but appears sold out, this will indicate that seats are not available for the general public).
  7. I get offered Ukrainian girls several times a day. is this connected to my having bought tickets to the Dance for Ukraine galas....?
  8. reading this review, I find that at least one ENB dancer is already familiar with this piece, giving us a clue to casting : "falling into the arms of the super sexy and tall Zúñiga (Gareth Haw)".
  9. Or perhaps a man who likes to wear women’s clothes and makeup?
  10. If it’s a good production then all will be well. we’ve just had ‘another’ Giselle (Mary Skeaping’s) and that went well so fingers crossed for Inger’s Carmen….: also later in the year we’ll be getting another Swan Lake (Derek Deane’s in the round) and then another Swan Lake (State Ballet of Georgia).

  12. Below is the text from the Donmar website. If the ROH had the same or something similar it might perhaps address your confusion and your concerns: “Why are there no seats showing on the date I want when the website is saying “limited availability”? [Or in the case of the ROH ‘available’] Some of our seats are not available to the general public, but need to be live on our website in order to be bookable for those that can. This is indicated clearly on the booking pages.” And from a random Donmar booking page: ”Select your seats: If the performance you are looking for says it has limited availability but appears sold out, this will indicate that seats are not available for the general public.” So yes, you are correct, at present only 4 seats for Manon of the remaining ‘available 126’ are currently for sale to the general public. i hope this helps. Also here is an extract from the YPOH page: “ 2. Make sure you’re signed in to your Young ROH account to see the available tickets. …. 4. Select your chosen seats for any eligible performance. This can be done by selecting the £30 price filter in the seat map or seat selector.” and this is from the Access page: “BENEFITS Our Access Box Office team is always available to help you book tickets online, by phone or in-person. We offer: Priority for accessible seating….” Presumably at some point, if these tickets are not purchased by the groups that they have been set aside for, they will be released for general sale. It is the same for the SCS tickets reserved for the RBS. If they are not taken up they go on general sale.
  13. perhaps knowing he had to fly elsewhere to dance the following day was why i got the feeling on Friday evening that Bolle didn't give it "his all" compared to others who have danced the same role in this run and who have left everything onstage. fingers crossed Bolle has no commitments on the 18th and he will invest himself fully in dancing his Des Grieux on the 17th.
  14. Yes. And for seats in all price bands too. If you qualify/are eligible for one of these groups, then the available seats do show on the seating plan when you log in to your account and, you can buy them.
  15. This was discussed upthread. I agree that it’s frustrating to see say, 33 seats ‘available’ and then to find that I can’t buy them. However it’s not a problem per se. As I understand it, the way the system is currently set up, unsold seats currently offsale to the general public e.g. YROH. Access Scheme, RBS students (?), will now show as ‘available’ on the website because they can be bought online by the group(s) they have been set aside for. If you qualify for one of these groups, then the available seats show on the seating plan when you log in to your account and, you can buy them. They may be released for general sale at a later date if they remain unsold. Hence the message I often read ‘keep checking back’. It would be misleading to show these dates as ‘sold out’ because they are not. I suggested upthread and subsequently to the box office that a brief explanation similar to that used by the Donmar Warehouse and the Almeida Theatre on their websites would be much appreciated and clear up any misunderstanding and impression that there is something wrong with the website when in fact it is working. To date my suggestion hasn’t been adopted.
  16. Only in the sense that Takada has been injury prone and is once again coming back from injury. I would be delighted, over the moon in fact, to see her onstage again. However, Sasaki having danced with Sissens would make her an easy substitution if it became necessary.
  17. Sissens actually only has one outing in the first period and, much as I would love to see Takada back, I suspect Sasaki may be his partner throughout.
  18. No trains in or out of Euston over the Easter period probably puts paid to my plan to travel to Birmingham for the BRB Tchaikovsky evening on March 28th. No trains to and from London Euston this Easter We strongly recommend you travel either side of the Easter weekend (29 March to 1 April). No trains will run to and from London Euston station over Easter while Network Rail carry out improvement work, and other parts of the West Coast Main Line are also affected. If you do need to travel, please plan ahead and make a reservation, as your journey will take much longer.
  19. due to a change of circumstances, I now have a spare good side stalls seat available to this all but sold out performance. please send me a PM if interested. published cast is Yu Kurihawa & Lachlan Monaghan as Aurora and her Prince.
  20. The Mayflower has now changed its seating plan for Cinderella 2025. rows A-C are now off-sale. The front row in now side stalls row E or centre stalls row D.
