  1. As it’s coming back so soon, I’d hope that all the lead roles would be cast with those who didn’t get a chance to dance them earlier this year. If I have a criticism of the Skeaping Giselle it is that it under-uses so many talented dancers.
  2. I think that is the fault of the interviewer. I think they all got asked the same questions: Tell me about yourself Tell me about your process/piece Tell me about the costumes Tell me about the music
  3. There’s a banner at the top of the page saying public booking has opened for the PSB. Expect a long wait
  4. This is a quote from the press release so it seems that the new production will be rooted in Edwardian London.
  5. there are currently plenty of tickets available at all price ranges (£25 -£137) for the Palladium this Sunday. https://ticketing.lwtheatres.co.uk/event/642?date=2024-02
  6. only a few seats left showing at the Coliseum: stalls x 1 £175 dress x 20 £120- £135 upper circle 3 x £90 whereas there are plenty available at all price ranges (£25 -£137) for the Palladium this Sunday. https://ticketing.lwtheatres.co.uk/event/642?date=2024-02
  7. this ticket needs to be re-homed. face value £5 please send me a DM if interested.
  8. and every other choreographer methinks, including from beyond the grave in the case of MacMillan & Cranko
  9. how exciting: The London gala, on February 18, will give audiences a chance to appreciate her distinctive artistry in two pieces: a pas de deux from Alberto Alonso’s flashy version of Carmen (partnered by Denis Matvienko) and the celebrated Dying Swan solo made famous by Anna Pavlova.
  10. With 4 contrasting and varied pieces, there’s something for everyone. My friend and I disagreed about just about everything but we both came away happy because we both found plenty to like.
  11. Einstein's definition of insanity is "Doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result." I rest my case
  12. Not surprised as all Friends levels plus PSB fans with priority booking are trying to buy at the same time.
  13. what do you think is the typical seat price for an access seat? it is my understanding that access seats are available in all price bands.
  14. and despite the following notice, there are now 73,000 in the queue! General Sale tickets have now sold out. There are still a limited number of tickets remaining for ATG+ members and Access Scheme customers, if you continue to hold. At a later date, 5,000 tickets at £25 will be available exclusively for under 30s, key workers and those receiving government benefits, on every level of the auditorium – including the front row. Details of when these tickets become available will be announced soon.
  15. Most people will only attend once, or if a devotee, once per programme so two shows clashing on one night isn’t a disaster. Perhaps the schedules have been done considerately such that an Ashton devotee can visit London to see three different programmes on three successive dates meaning only 2 nights accommodation is needed?
  16. we think we have problems queuing on the ROH website for tickets.... when priority tickets for Tom Holland in Jamie Lloyd's upcoming Rome & Juliet went onsale at 8am this morning the queue had over 50,000 people in it. the priority sale tickets were exhausted before demand was satisfied and people had to join a new general sale queue at midday. there are currently 35,000 people in that queue. the 'limited' run is 12 weeks (watch out for an extension announcement). with the Duke of York's theatre seating capacity of 640, 12 weeks x 8 shows x 640 = 61,440 total. looks like someone is going to be disappointed.
  17. it is listed on the ROH website: 8 JUNE 2024 SATURDAY, 7.45PM ASHTON GALA: VALSES NOBLES ET SENTIMENTALES / DANCE OF THE BLESSED SPIRITS / VARRI CAPRICCI / FAÇADE LINBURY THEATRE GUIDANCE: Suitable for all tickets are £10, £30, £45, £60, £110
  18. Rhapsody is in both triple bills too. the difference would appear to be that whilst Les Rendezvous will be danced by the Royal Ballet in Bill 1, in Bill 2: "a selection of short works, including Five Brahms Waltzes in the Manner of Isadora Duncan, Hamlet and Ophelia and The Walk to the Paradise Garden performed by Sarasota Ballet.
