  1. Have you checked out the tube on Transport for London site? It depends on what direction you are coming from. I'm sure you will be fine x
  2. We are staying over night at Premier Inn Angel Islington. 20 min walk to Central ballet School or a taxi ride I think. Looks like the tubes are partly closed Sunday morning in that area from what I can make out. x
  3. Are your dancers all excited about Sunday? Also do you think the juniors will need the character skirt this weekend? x
  4. Excellent! I'm sure we will meet at some point then Its so wonderful to even get to a final for them x
  5. Hi. She is a very petit year 4 girl and yes she is starting Hammond as a associate in September. I am very happy if she can stay residential. She would love every minute. Last year she did one week OPES summer school and was wanting to stay residential but I said no as I thought she was too young. x
  6. My dd has been asked to the final as well tattielashes . She is 9 years old. x
  7. My dd is 9 and loved the whole experience(so did I actually!) It was the first time we have been to a dance convention so it was a great eye opener. I had no idea the classes would give opportunities beyond that day. Some of the dancers were quite emotional after with good or bad feed back. I guess this is why starting my dd off young at this sort of thing will help with future auditions and highs and lows. We will go again!
  8. We sent a modern routine yesterday. It was over the 1 minute max though We don't really know much about it but thought it could be a bit of fun to enter. Plus it is free!
  9. My dd is excited to find out as well. Also what the timings are like on the Sundays as well? xxx
  10. So at least two audition classes Good luck to everyone x
  11. We are going to Northern ballet School the day after,(Sunday) for the NYB Leeds audition. We may as well take all the opportunities and see what happens. x
  12. My 9 year old DD is going. I think being with new people and a new place can worry them but hopefully they will relax and enjoy it. We are going 1.30-2.15pm audition. Is everyone the same time? It did make me giggle that they need to bring a towel. I'm not sure she will need one but its nice to make the effort
  13. My dd is starting the YDA associates in September. I think when given these opportunities we have to try. Listen to peoples opinions (which are all different) but I think you have to decide what is best for your girl x
  14. My dd is 8 and doing week 1 but not staying residential this time.(She would like but I have said not yet). I am staying in Retford with my son for the week so will bus her each day I hope. Its her first Dance Summer School. She has done the Tring dance days and Musical Theatre workshop weeks before. She is also starting Young Dancers Academy (YDA) in September on Saturday mornings. Really happy for her. x
  15. My daughter is doing Opes International Summer Course. They still had spaces a couple of weeks ago! Its near Retford. x
  16. Morning everyone It will be a wait until Monday now for any more results I guess. I have not told my dd results are coming out earlier than expected. We are waiting for Eastleigh. She got a 'try again' letter for CBA so thinking it will be a no for JA's. Fingers crossed for everyone
  17. We are still waiting as well! It will be Monday now....
  18. My dd is back at Tring park for the junior dance day on Tuesday. She is excited
  19. Starlight69 From what I could make out the CBA at Tring had 5 groups of 22 of various ages through out the day to audition. No idea for how many places. At the Royal ballet Eastleigh audition the same numbers. About 120 kids at that one centre. I was told but not sure how true it is that of the youngest group of 22 they were ruffly after 2 of the 8 boys and 2 of the 14 girls. I did not see many boys at CBA but I was not looking around that much x
  20. A letter went in the post today Petalviolet all about our adventure! x
  21. My daughter was in the first group and is quite bendy so was warming up in all sorts of positions. She just loves it all and I would never ask her to do anything even at the age of 8 she just gets on with it until I say no more! She did the Royal ballet ja audition on the Friday. Its was interesting to here that she found the CBA harder but loved it just as much. She was over the moon a girl she was paired up with on the Friday was also in the CBA group Sunday. Not that we will, but if we got offered both I'm not sure I could decide which to go for for her. x
  22. Are you going to try JA plaits or a bun BoyOhBoy?? Best of luck
  23. HI My dd is in the youngest group audition new123. We had an email last week confirming times. She will be in a Sleeveless leotard and socks. She is looking forward to it x
  24. My daughter is so excited to be a ballet buddy pen pal with your girl. I will PM you. By the way, Guernsey is next to Jersey in the Channel Islands which is holding this years Dance World Cup! (All very exciting.) My dd is also a budding actress and has a principal part in Les Miserables at Easter which 4000 tickets sold in 1 day! (Very exciting and has lots to talk about) She is hoping to be a ballet associate in September if luck goes our way plus we have an ocean between us and the main land x
