  1. Do the Waiting List replies come as letters or emails? x
  2. haha awesome! and that made me smile, Afab
  3. eeeek well done Pasdebourree15! :D and aww thankyou! no, moneypenny i haven't... this waiting is absolute agony, i've kind of resigned myself to it being a No
  4. Thankyou Lil, i might do that and wow, well done pointytoes22 and all other dd/ds's with those lovely (evidently elusive!) Yes replies!! xx
  5. Okay, now im really jealous ;-) hope she has a fab time xx Is it quite common to get a 'No' from Elmhurst SS?? Its the 3rd year Ive applied...
  6. Well done to all Yesses!! Were they all emails, or letters?! Ive not heard yet :-( :-( ive told my mum that if the No letter comes, dont give it to me until Monday because im going to see Sleeping Beauty tomorrow and Alice in Wonderland on Sunday so wouldnt want to be grumpy for that!! Haha x
  7. Me and a friend were discussing this earlier, and were wondering- where did the tradition of saying "Merde!" to dancers before a show, come from?? I do speak French, so find it quite funny that such a word should be used?!
  8. Wow, I absolutely love this video- reminded me just how much i want to dance at Elmhurst!!! Haha x
  9. Uh-oh. Guess that means we'll hear soon then :/ Well done for getting onto the waiting list!! X
  10. Hiya! Yep, I found Gaynors very awkward to sew too- do you see where there is like a join of fabric, near where the arch of the foot would be? I sewed my ribbons along that bit of fabric- does that make sense?
  11. Pasdebouree, one of my friends who was a RBS MA applied for ybss in late May and got a place last year, so you might have a good chance if you mention on the application form that you're a SA?
  12. Hi Lottie Do most people who apply for YBSS get a place? Ive applied for YBSS and Elmhurst, so I dont know wether to apply anywhere else in case I dont get in to either? Also, roughly how many apply for the age 14-16 scholarships and how many get them? (just trying to work out wether its worth going to the audition...) Thanks x
  13. Oh okay :-) ....yikes, just realised that if you applied a month ago, it might take them a month to reply yes/no to me!! Thats annoying not only because im getting very impatient but also if I get in, I wont be going on holiday abroad with the family this year because its too expensive to do both, but my parents need to know when/where im going so they can book their holiday... Urgh! x
  14. Hi Meganreid; Ive applied too for the first time this year. I remember reading somewhere that they will inform you of wether you got in or not within 2-3 weeks of your application. I only sent my form this week so havent heard anything yet. It says on the website the full fees have to be paid by May 15th, so presumably we will hear by mid april x
  15. No, I got a No last year and the year before, so think SWL places are quite rare x
  16. Oh okay, thank you Sorry for all the questions, but roughly how many places are likely to be available? Dont want to spend a lot of money on going to an audition if theres only 2 or 3 places up for grabs...
  17. What time, if we were accepted, would classes for 15year old girls be? Ive just read about the CBA and it looks amazing, so me and a friend were thinking of contacting them to see if we could submit a slightly late application too, but it takes about 2 1/2 hours to get to Tring, so need to check that the classes wouldnt be too early? X
  18. Hi all, I am looking at summer schools, and cae across the Cechetti summer school at Tring. It says it is open to non- Cechetti trained dancers, but I noticed that the entry requirements for age 15-16 says 'Standard 6'. Is this equivalent to RAD Grade 6? Thanks xx
  19. Aww Amythyst i'm so happy for her! bet she's ecstatic- i would be!! x
  20. Wow, huge congrats to her Julie! :-D :-D :-D
  21. Well i would pay a lot for one of those (even more to be dancing in it as an Associate), but £350... Some people are too rich ;-)
  22. Walked to the postbox. Posted Elmhurst summerschool application form. Walked home, went into the kitchen.... "Oh ****!!!" My application photographs were still sat on the table. Oh, how clever of me! grrrrr.
