  1. That is good news but it will be interesting to see how, in the nearer future, the Mariinsky and the Bolshoi get on with their re-openings. I know that there are some live shows in New Zealand but RNZB have taken the decision to cancel their upcoming tour as the number of C-19 cases is rising.
  2. I spoke to a member of the ranger service who said they have no powers to enforce clearing up. I only had my phone with me and by the time I pulled it out they were too far away for a photo to be any good. It seems to me that this has become much more of an issue since lockdown started for some unknown reason. And why people hang used bags up is absolutely beyond me. They would have been better off letting the poo lie.
  3. PEOPLE WHO DON'T PICK UP THEIR DOG POO!!! I was on the beach this morning when a couple with a GSD-type dog on a lead just walked off when their dog had finished its elephant-sized poo. I called after them and, of course, they ignored me. I can understand people not chasing after their dog's poo when it is in a wild area that is very unlikely to be trodden on ... but on the beach where people walk, play, dig sandcastles etc.

  5. Hello Joanna and welcome out of the lurking shadows! Thanks for sharing your DD’s experience.
  6. You can register and read a couple of articles a month. That's how we can keep including Telegraph articles in Links. That is also the case with The Stage, The Times and the FT as well as some American papers.
  7. And here's another one asking for ongoing support from the government. The more the merrier. https://www.campaignforthearts.org/petitions/support-the-arts-in-every-community/

  11. The company in Finland performed the work so perhaps that includes the rights for it to be streamed, albeit by BRB.
  12. And I found an article that said that the particles could stay in the air for up to 3 hours! I think the upshot is that masks are here to stay and we've just got to get on with it.
  13. Here's a petition asking for a review of social distancing within theatres before November. https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/549630
  14. Don't know about loos but the performance is only due to last an hour with no interval. I'm more worried about motorway pitstops!
  15. Don't know about Bath but at B'ham Rep in October it already states that we have to wear masks at all times in the theatre building.
  16. I'm sure I read somewhere that Tamara Rojo said it would take up to 12 weeks for the dancers to get fully fighting fit as, during lockdown/zoom classes they have only been able to do basic barre type work and not much in the way of leaping and turning as most of them have been working in their kitchens/lounges. I can't see the RB being much different from ENB.
  17. Hello Missdancemum and welcome to the Forum!
  18. Elmhurst has also been offering last minute places for anyone as some students cannot, for whatever reason, take up their places.
  19. Just a reminder that a few more tickets go on sale from 9am today. Extract from an email issued yesterday: "We are delighted with the response we have received to the additional performance of Lazuli Sky on 23 October that was added last week. This performance is now full but we are pleased to announce that The REP will be putting a limited number of additional seats on sale tomorrow morning for the other performances. Booking will be available online only from The REP's website from 9am on Wednesday 2 September for performances on 22, 23 and 24 October." (An extra performance was added and offered to supporters - this performance (as stated) is now sold out).
