Lisa O`Brien
Just unbelievable and so sad. What an unforgettable year it has been . For all the wrong reasons. RIP.
alison
So sad - I've just heard it on the news: I suppose more information will be forthcoming in due course. My deepest sympathies to his family and friends, particularly given the date.

Sim
So very sad. He lived near me and he always used to give us a wave and a smile. Just when we thought 2016 couldn't throw any more at us...
Fiz
He did a great deal of secret charity work too. He paid for the whole family to go on a trip of a lifetime after the young disabled son of a friend won a Christmas trip to Lapland. It was only going to be the little boy and his father who went but George paid for the whole family to go too. I have also seen just now on Twitter that he paid £15,000 for a young woman to have IVF treatment. R.I.P, George.
Jan McNulty
He was enormously talented. I wasn't a huge fan of Wham but he had the most amazing voice and was a brilliant song-writer.

LinMM
So sad to hear this and so young....I liked his voice and a lot of his songs.....especially "Last Christmas". Inspite of some of the more hilarious stories which got into the press at times he always struck me as being a genuine soul. Doubly sad that this happened on Christmas Day for his family and friends.
Jan McNulty
I'm feeling so sad that George Michael has passed away. This performance with Elton John shows the power and beauty of his voice and his sheer stage presence and, more than any of his own songs, how I always think of him:
Jacqueline
So sorry to hear this news. George Michael was a truly gifted singer and songwriter, such a clever lyricist and that wonderful, soulful voice. My particular favourite was Different Corner. Such sadness and longing in the words and that soaring vocal. A great loss. RIP.
