  1. Just been watching some videos of Madison on her website.Lovely dancer and looking forward to seeing her at ENB next season.
  2. Have seen this programme twice now (with three more to come) and enjoyed every minute of it.Love Jeunne Homme and the opportunity to see Le Riche dance it had me filled with expectation for some time.He didn't disappoint with a riveting performance.Petite Mort looks a welcome addition to the ENB rep and the whole company deserve applause for a sparkling Etudes.Other than the long intervals the only disappointment was finding the balcony closed at the first matinee and I'm led to believe the same will be happening on Sunday.
  3. Some outstanding performances in last night's opener in particular Ed, Mara (who reminded me just how much I am going to miss her) and Sarah Lamb.
  4. I agree with you Fonteyn22 regarding Laura.Lovely dancer who other than Manon and Onegin seems to be frequently overlooked where lead roles are concerned.
  5. I wholeheartedly agree with A frog. The government subsidy has nothing to do with the nationality of dancers and neither should it.
  6. Thanks Minder.Desperately wanted to see this and thanks to you now I will!
  7. I thought some of the choreography was very good and Johan Christensen gave an excellent interpretation of Billy ably supported by a very talented cast of dancers. If work didn't dictate otherwise I would go for a second viewing.
  8. Booked it the day tickets went on sale and very much looking forward to it.
  9. Obviously its a personal decision but I fail to see how staying away solves anything. The attack on Sergei beggars belief and I'm sure the vast majority of dancers and staff at the Bolshoi were as appalled as all of us who frequent this forum.I will definitely be there to give them my support.
  10. Delighted to see the return of Sweet Violets and looking forward to seeing Wheeldons Winters Tale.Less enamoured with another boatload of Beauties and Nutcrackers.
  11. I will miss Mara terribly.A wonderful dancer and an oustanding actress.I wish her all the very best for the future.
  12. Ivan and Natalia dance Giselle 26/3 Don Q 30 & 31/3 (evenings) Laurencia 2& 3 April
  13. Laura and Ricardo will be at Ivy House February 10th to talk about and demonstrate Ashton's choreography. As a finale they will dance the Act 2 Pas de Deux from La Fille mal Gardee surely worth the price of a ticket in itself! Full details on website www.ljcc.org.uk.Phone number is 02084575000.
  14. First time I have seen Las Hermanas and it didn't disappoint.Melissa,Zenaida,Laura and Thiago outstanding in their respective roles.
  15. I will definitely try and get to see them probably at Croydon.
  16. aileen,I saw Anais and Junor dance the matinee on the 11th and would concur with everything you said about them.Anais was beautiful and on the evidence of that performance alone is surely a principal in waiting.
  17. As long as Natalia Osipova is coming with them this news has made my year.
  18. Aileen,I believe the choreography for the pas de quatre is the work of Ashton.I have never seen it used in Swan Lake by anyone other than ENB.No doubt one of the many ballet historians on the forum will know a whole lot more than me!
