  1. It was originally programmed as Marquez & Soares but due to illness (RM) and injury (TS) the performance was actually Galeazzi & Hristov.
  2. Three points here. If you're taller than about 5'7, one can see the feet. If, like me, you are shorter, the only time one can't see the feet is when they are touching the stage and at that point (i) the feet generally aren't doing anything interesting anyway and (ii) one should be able to tell exactly what the feet are doing from the rest of the legs. Finally, ballet isn't just about feet and one of the joys of sitting in the front row is obtaining a much more personal enjoyment of the overall ballet. Agree for patterns etc. it's much better to be higher in the house.
  3. Indeed. And, as some of you may know, he danced the Tchaik pd2 with Beatriz Stix-Brunell at Vail during summer 2012.
  4. The cast change slips are still in existence but they never print enough. Nuñez's absence yesterday afternoon was announced on a slip (though the Floral Hall programme desk had run out at least 20 minutes before the start time) and also in the pre-performance tannoy announcement.
  5. On ROH website this morning - Onegin cast changes. For performances on 22 January, 25 January, 31 January and 5 February Nehemiah Kish will dance the role of Lensky. On 26 January, 1 February, 7 February Valentino Zucchetti will dance the role of Lensky and Ryoichi Hirano will dance the role of Prince Gremin. On 2 February (evening performance), 8 February Dawid Trzensimiech will dance the role of Lensky and Thomas Whitehead will dance the role of Prince Gremin.
  6. ENB have tweeted that Lead Principal is the new name for the Senior Principal position.
  7. Well, the shoe on the right foot appears to have a (small) platform. Maybe they're special shoes to protect the injury.
  8. I'm pretty sure she's [Romany Pajdak, middle-ish of the picture entitled "masses of Snowflakes"] in pointe shoes, just not onto pointe at the time the picture was taken. Let's not forget that Romany has just come back from injury and the photograph was taken at a rehearsal which wasn't open to FoCG or the public.
  9. My better third and I are going as we had already booked tickets before it became a welcome performance. Any chance you could let me have the details of the fun and games beforehand?
  10. Thanks Arky. When I saw this yesterday I swung into action as ticket ninja and secured 2 stalls seats for La Rojo (not together but hey!).
  11. He & Kristen McNally seemed to be getting the best out of each other as lead Czárdás couple on Saturday - that was the real swan song for an incredibly expressive and agile dancer.
  12. Swan Lake 22 November is now Cojocaru (replacing Cuthbertson) and Bonelli.
  13. Click on the "News" tab at the top of the homepage. Once you're in the news section, you need to click on the section heading (e.g. "Ballet and Dance") for a list of news articles.
  14. Just a reminder - don't google "Raven Girl" on your work computer...
  15. Details of the nominees can be found here: http://www.dancetabs.com/2012/11/2012-national-dance-awards-announcement-of-nominations/
