The boarding for sixth form is in a fantastic new building but doesn’t mean there are more boarding places further down the school x

Unbelievable! Dd’s dance school has a little “wall of fame” with everyone’s successes on.

I think it depends on whether the school and training is enjoyable. If you said my dd could have an MDA on the understanding that she would never make it past 16 in the dance world I’d still take the place. I’d love a school with small classes and plenty of dance whatever it lead to. IF it was fun enough to make my daughter happy and not stressful.

No, last year some girls didn’t make Elmhurst finals but did get places in Mids.

This is all really really helpful to know. How do they work the academic stuff? Is it by ability? Do you find it rigorous? Homework? Does she board? Anyone else able to give a perspective on this stuff from another school?

No reason why the results shouldn’t come this week. I don’t think admin staff etc get a half term break.

When we looked round Tring last year they said the older girls (who wanted) were on a rota to do the little ones’ hair every morning 😍

So we now have an offer, and the bursary audition to look forward to, but I can’t quite understand if they’re *just* reviewing what’s already been sent or if there is an actual zoom class to assess them? Thanks for your help guys x

No it’s just a figure of speech meaning she’s given the ‘go-ahead’ to send them out - will be email.

Yes also not getting a response after initial email. Does anyone know how much the fees are? Couldn’t find it on the website. 😬

Are WL and Elmhurst both emails or should I be stalking the postman too?

Hammond know that most or at least a-lot of people auditioning cannot afford to pay fees, so they don’t have to worry about offering places to more people than they have places for. They offer places as they go through rather waiting to have seen everyone. I think also everyone who is offered a place is invited to the second audition for funding, providing they have registered and paid. (We registered when we got the result.)
