Hi, do you know how many started in yr 8 this year? Just wondering if there’s a big intake or just a few.

Hi Guys. I’ve been in contact with the school and they are definitely simplifying the uniform but it hasn’t been finalised yet. They are redoing the parent’s handbook so everyone just has to wait until it’s ready to be sent out. hope that helps.

I’m afraid I didn’t hear of anyone who didn’t get waitlisted after finals last year. Be nice if I’m wrong, but I think it’s a long list and a “thanks but No thanks” for most people. Obviously some people are going to be in with a chance but you don’t know. Happy to be proved wrong if anyone wants to say that they got a flat No after finals, but dd was waitlisted last year and this, and this year - first time back in the studio etc - she said herself it wasn’t her best.

Absolutely- I didn’t say impossible! Just it’s better to have a surprise miracle than spend you time agonisingly waiting for a call that’s so unlikely. It’s hard 😞

I think everyone who gets to finals is waitlisted until September. I think chances for most people are very slim which is why they say not to contact them

Well the admissions guy said they Dance guys were sorting it out and he thought they might do it Thursday rather than Friday so they didn’t have to work on their day off. So I’ve been expecting news since yesterday. I’m still hoping to hear something today

Fifty fifty. Fifty immediately / fifty never. So for example I phoned and was called back within half an hour but missed the call. Answer machine message says he’ll get back to me tomorrow but also try again before he goes home that day. Following week, about 4 work days later, still no call so I phoned again.

Tell her I feel her pain. I’m over fifty and I don’t know who I am without children - nor what my strengths and passions are. This comes up throughout our lives and it’s SO OK not to know. Most people don’t have an answer. They start one job, and then just stick in that line regardless of passion or interest. She is still all that she was before - she’s just becoming *more* than only a dancer. 🔥
