@Balletbuds80 Yes! We weren't going to try again, after two nos, but then decided at the very last moment that we should go for the hat trick...just so we knew! I could just tell she wasn't REALLY happy to give up on JAs. We went Eastleigh first choice (as opposed to second choice after London) this year. Hopefully we'll hear soon so we can all be put out of our agony!

I think the government's announcements will be game-changer whatever's said. If it's positive, then day places may open up and if it's negative, then foreign students may not be able to travel, opening up more spaces for UK Waiting Listers!

The Waiting List closes on 22nd June so you might not hear more precise details until after that. I imagine they’ve chosen that day as they will have a better idea of the guidelines they’ll be working within after the announcement about 21st June and restrictions lifting.

Thank you so much everyone for your responses. That is so helpful. I’m putting together an information pack on the application process for my pupil’s parents, and that was the one piece of information I couldn’t find on the websites as of course applications for this year have closed. They need to know how much to put aside because, as you’re all saying, it adds up 😬 Fortunately for them, they seem to have family all over the place, so hopefully not too many hotel bills!

Yes, many 10 year-olds from the continent have been offered places.

My pupil's videos for Eastleigh Year 6 have been viewed. Part 1 has been viewed twice for 5 mins, Part 2 once for an average of 7 mins Part 3 twice for an average of 6 mins. So already far more viewing time than last year!

They mean a belt. Most uniforms have them. It's a useful visual tool for the teachers to see quickly that their hips are aligned correctly.

Would anyone be willing/ able to share their packing list with me?! My Year 5 pupil is on the waiting list for WL SI but has been offered a place at Moorland Summer School, which we have accepted. I'd like to give her a congratulatory hamper of things she'll need for Summer School. Also, the thing she's most worried about is doing her own bun! 😂 Obviously, she has time to practise, but have those of you with younger children experienced help being provided with this?! The Paris Opera Ballet School has just stated that they will not be taking any candidates from outside the EU for their Summer School this year. If the Royal decides to do something similar, hopefully there’ll be some more movement from the waiting list. Grasping at straws, I know, but those of us still on the waiting list can live in hope!
