  1. Yes they said they were sacked due to minor timekeeping misdemeanours and feel it may be connected to their membership of/involvement in a union that (I think) recently won the London living wage?
  2. Kaneko and Bonelli were outstanding last night. And a delightful performance from Campbell and Takada. I really hope Fumi Kaneko is promoted at the end of the season.
  3. Maybe it’s unfounded, but I’m not keen on triple bills as I find they tend to be a bit of a mixed bag. I really want a revival of Cinderella, but I guess it’ll be a while before that happens. I like The Nutcracker, but I think the first part in the living room drags on too much and the second half is much stronger.
  4. I’m so excited by the new season but have to say I’m totally fed up of Nutcracker every year.
  5. I would love to see Beatriz Stix-Brunell promoted, but it may not be this year. I hope she will be given the opportunity to dance more lead roles!
  6. There’s no need to be so hostile. On his public Instagram he is Matty.
  7. The Osipova/Hallberg production. Ampitheatre Left A42 - amazing view. Limited legroom. As of now the first four rows of the amiphitheatre for this production are SOLD OUT. Selling for £36 (face value) plus £3 for signed postage/paypal fees = £39 in total.
  8. She was fabulous but I thought Evgenia danced with much more emotion and grace, and I liked that she didn’t tactically save all her jumps for the end. I think she should have won gold (but Alina did a fantastic job).
  9. I guess so, but Naghdi still has a pretty big role in Manon.
  10. I don’t think anyone would have accused you of that. We can love Nuñez and Bonelli while acknowledging that Naghdi and Ball, who made a superb debut, could really benefit from an extra performance. 😊
  11. Yes, I wonder why Hayward got three opportunities and Naghdi only one? (Not that I’m complaining as Hayward is my favourite dancer) 😍
  12. Sad for Lauren that she didn’t get to do Giselle this year, but excited for the surprise Marianela performance!
  13. I have to agree re Kish. A bit disappointed that he’s been paired with Naghdi for Swan Lake.
  14. Some nice GIFS of Francesca and Yasmine dancing together from a previous performance
  15. It’s not surprising that they’re unwilling to put their names to the claims given the hostile and fearful working environment they describe. I can see how such a situation could easily arise, especially with Rojo’s cult status and her questionable relationship with one of her employees.
  16. I have a pair of antique mother of pearl opera glasses from Paris. Not sure how much they cost as they were a gift found in an antique shop but I find buying old is often cheaper than buying new, and they look so lovely! I wonder who originally owned them... https://www.oxfam.org.uk/shop/memorabilia-and-ephemera/memorabilia/antique-mop-brass-opera-glases-in-original-case-hd_101077286?pscid=ps_ggl_shopping&gclid=CjwKCAiAk4XUBRB5EiwAHBLUMct6ZXKb8OKeNJcClwJIA_3RuW6mW3t5C5DcxegANHMAtlE5aPsUEBoCSYQQAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds&dclid=CLjIjfCboNkCFY8EGQodLE4FFw
  17. I didn’t see Naghdi but I look forward to seeing her in Swan Lake! Felt so privileged to see both Hayward and Takada this season. Both feather light and so exquisitely vulnerable.
  18. Just wanted to add that Francesca Hayward and Alexander Campbell were both lovely and spent lots of time at the stage door talking to fans I got pictures with both of them, and they both signed my programme (alongside Kevin Emerton and Mayara Magri).
