A quick update on the Copenhagen front... Unfortunately, the project fell through so we're back to square one! It's a shame as I was warming to the idea... Thank you so much for all your answers! As always the forum has been a wonderful help and so many people took time to help me and I am very grateful for it... I'm sure I'll need your help again in the next future! Cheers

Does it mean that the DVD auditions automatically go to finals? I thought you had to be there in person for the finals. Did I misunderstand something?

Yes unfortunately £500 is closer to the mark. The ones I know of: Ballet West £500 Elmhurst Senior £575 ENB £375 without accommodation RBS £550 Hope it helps

Oh of course I forgot there was more than one centre. DD's is in London... I hope someone answers your questions as it will help us also... From what I know it is a simple ballet class...

You're not alone as most kids their age will face the same problem as yours... The RBS team must be used to seeing it!

Definitely nicer LinMM! If it doesn't work, we still might have to go to Reading though! I have to say that now that Copenhagen has been mentioned and has had time to settle in me, I'm quite excited by the idea... Yes there is a selection of course for the Danish Royal Ballet and finding about the level is a bit tricky... DD can always try at least. Another problem is that the ballet school goes with the academic school. One cannot do one and not the other! I'm all for learning the language of the country you live in but it takes time and I don't know how flexible they are with non Danish speaking foreigners... I have to say I watched the last episodes of Borgen with a new eye!

Update: Xmas is looming and things have come to a standstill on a job point of view... More news in the New Year! As for ballet schools, thank you so much to all the lovely people who sent me ideas and names, privately or on the forum... I'm sorting through things on the Internet, brushing with difficulty on my Danish thanks to Swedish and the whole thing doesn't seem as impossible nor daunting as it first was... If you have other ideas, I'm still very much interested. And if things don't work out, who knows I might be able to pass my Copenhagen ballet knowledge onto someone else. I'm a firm believer of help going around and being passed as it is on this fantastic forum... x
