Further back in the thread it says it will be announced on April 30th

As it happened I decided to look yesterday for the first time for ages and nothing doing. Nothing doing today either!

I’m lucky again in the main strike day that week for Thameslink is on the Tuesday. I will be travelling on the Wednesday 8th but this is the less trains timetable ( from 7th to 11th) which I’ve got to know quite well so can work around so SL on the 9th shouldn’t be affected. Im assuming it’s similar for you Dawnstar coming from the other end of the line so you should be able to travel on the 9th though I don’t know whether trains stop slightly earlier on no overtime days …I’m not travelling back till 10th. Sorry you’ve got to rearrange Winters Tale though. It can be annoying when you’ve booked to see certain casts.

National Theatre Christmas show - Ballet Shoes
LinMM replied to Lynette H's topic in Ballet / Dance news & information
I won’t be going to this as although was into ballet as a child I was never attracted to reading these particular books. I was one of those weirdos who went virtually straight from reading “Five go to Smugglers Top” to Don Camillo and the Devil and Somerset Maugham short stories. -

Royal Ballet Insight Events - News & links
LinMM replied to John Mallinson's topic in Ballet / Dance news & information
I’ve watched the replay and I have to say I do like all those technical details about where the foot is and how to achieve a certain arm position in a difficult lift etc etc. So I enjoyed the second one too. Just beginning to get a good idea of Sae Maeda as opposed to a couple of others in the Company and I like her a lot she seems to have a warm personality.- 537 replies

Well Winters Tale is my old A level Shakespeare text!! Id probably enjoy it more now but back then I was dying to read Romeo and Juliet and was disappointed in the choice of Winters Tale. So in the end I did read R&J in my spare time ….but not such a good plan at the time for me!! It was Chaucer and TS Eliot who got me through my A level in the end lol. I much preferred the ballet to my remembered time with the text at any rate!!- 537 replies

Fernando Carratala Coloma leaving ENB after tonight
LinMM replied to Emeralds's topic in Ballet / Dance news & information
Oh Rebecca is joining SFB then but as a corps de ballet dancer a slightly strange move in terms of career but had high hopes for her when she first joined ENB perhaps she thinks she has more chance of progression with SFB.- 11 replies

Royal Ballet - Swan Lake 2024
LinMM replied to Linnzi5's topic in Performances seen & general discussions
Hee hee perhaps all those on the Forum who’ve had White Lodge ambitions at some point should do the same! -
Any chance we could keep this thread for the actual Rep for next season when it’s announced! It looks like this will not be until around April 30th but not too long now.

James Hay and Ryo Hirano in Surgery Today
LinMM replied to Sim's topic in Ballet / Dance news & information
It’s actually amazing how the body produces extra bits of bone sometimes where it is stressed supposedly to increase strength for more support so is trying to help us out but unfortunately dancers don’t want this extra bone getting in the way of ligaments etc. Hope both James Hay and Hirano are fit again very soon. -

I don’t have any religious views whatever but still like the idea of them floating off to some sort of other world in that Swan Boat thingy it just so suits the music at that point. -

Perhaps Odile should have fallen for Benno then!! Poor old Siegfried! -
There are very few performances of ENB’s Giselle in January …5 or 6 I think.

Actually the photo above Prix de Lausanne announcement of where winners are going is of 2024 competitors my mistake ..thought I’d recognised a 2023 dancer and jumped to conclusions. Only mentioning here because of above comment but otherwise there’s a Prix thread to discuss anything further.

Have just signed another petition to save a choir in Cambridge which has suddenly been told it will be disbanded in June 2024 They were not privy to the discussions regarding this until already a fait accompli 😥
