aileen Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 I'm glad to see that my favourite, Nicolas le Riche, won in his category. I thought that he was terrific in Le Jeune Homme et La Mort last year.
MargaretN7 Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 Looking at that photo, it would appear dance is a man's world! (Not said too seriously)
johnross Posted January 28, 2014 Author Posted January 28, 2014 Margaret, there were three ladies who won, Yuan Yuan Tuan, Natalia Osipova and Amanda Chinn but the awards were collected by Debra Boraston (missing} Kevin O'Hare for Osipova and James McIlvey for Amanda Chinn, And of course Leanne Benjamin who had to leave early.

Aileen, you may be interested to know that he will be starring in "Miss Julie" with the Paris Opera Ballet at the end of February - more on that when I get back from Paris. 1
Lynette H Posted January 29, 2014 Posted January 29, 2014 Dane Hurst's speech, on receiving his award, thanking the teacher in South Africa who had taught him without charging any fees (which he could never have afforded) came across as really heartfelt and very touching. 2

loveclassics Posted January 29, 2014 Posted January 29, 2014 Is there a list of nominees and winners somewhere?
Bruce Posted January 29, 2014 Posted January 29, 2014 (edited) Is there a list of nominees and winners somewhere? There used to be a good website associated with the awards but alas no more. You can see the nominations here: http://www.theguardian.com/stage/2013/nov/08/2014-national-dance-awards-shortlist The Results are here: http://dancetabs.com/2014/01/2013-national-dance-awards-winners-announced/ I should add that the DanceLinks forum here (on BalletcoForum) tracks links like this - each day too: http://www.balletcoforum.com/index.php?/forum/13-dance-links-reviews-features/ If you look at this weeks entries you find some NDA links.
