Erica Posted July 12, 2013 Posted July 12, 2013 Lauretta Summerscales has won the Gold Medal at the Beijing International Ballet and Choreography Competition 2013 Congratulations! 5
Jan McNulty Posted July 12, 2013 Posted July 12, 2013 Wonderful news. Thanks for posting Erica! Huge congratulations to Lauretta 1
capybara Posted July 12, 2013 Posted July 12, 2013 This is great news and one hopes that, when it reaches the press, Laurretta will be given credit in her own right, not as "the new ****** *******". 2
Wulff Posted July 13, 2013 Posted July 13, 2013 Great news. Lauretta's star is certainly in the ascendant. But is there any news about other winners in this competition? The only "news" on their website refers to the first 2011 competition, and there is nothing about Lauretta or anyone else.. I wonder why these competitions are so slow to publish their results. The Prix de Lausanne is just as bad. 1
Wulff Posted July 14, 2013 Posted July 14, 2013 Well, Aaron Smyth won the men's Silver, but still no complete list of winners available. Incidentally, Melissa Hamilton and Dawid Trzensimiech both won Bronze the year before last. The Varna competition starts tomorrow. I don't know whether there are any RB or ENB entrants. 1
Bluebird Posted July 14, 2013 Posted July 14, 2013 Well, Aaron Smyth won the men's Silver, but still no complete list of winners available. There's a little information on Dansomanie, the French website. The men's Gold medal was won by a Japanese dancer, Yoshiaki Nakano. The women's silver and bronze medals were won by Chinese dancers but these dancers are not named in the thread.
