  1. Do you really believe a current Artistic Director of one of the few UK ballet companies will be appropriate to choose the Artistic Director of a competitor ballet company? So if, for instance, Coca Cola needs a new CEO should Pepsi’s CEO be on the choosing panel?
  2. I wonder where you got that from. I believed Rojo has always encourage anyone´s achievements with a proper send off. After all, it is her who introduced direct stage announcements when promoting a dancer to either Principal or Lead Principal categories
  3. May I ask why is this Topic under “Performances seen & general discussions”? Shouldn’t it be under “Ballet / Dance news & information”?
  4. Was at the Coli last night, totally agree with Bruce, Alexandrova was just fantastic, such richness of movements, so many small details that make a real difference, I loved the way she interpreted Aurora. Great congrats also to Caley for being able to do a great show at such short notice And what to say about Stina? Really outstanding
  5. Such a mean comment about McCormick! Can you prove what you are saying? I don’t understand how a ballet forum allows such vile assertions
  6. And to whom, do you think, whoever is in charge of grievances reports to?
  7. It is all very nice but can anybody tell me how can Scottish ballet dancers put forward whatever grievances (true or invented) they might have? To Christopher Hampson choreographer? To Christopher Hampson Artistic Director? To Christopher Hampson Executive Director?
  8. Strange the RB did not keep her. By what you are seing I wish I could see her dance
  9. I watched Flames of Paris by the Bolshoi, with Osipova, a few years ago and I just loved it!
  10. Will appreciate it if date is listed by anyone “on the know”. Would hate to miss it
  11. What makes you think it's true? Have you never seen before peoples’ reputation destroyed to find out, after months or, even, years that everything was a fake?
  12. It is inconceivable that a veteran journalist like @TeresaGuerreir2 in her article about the @ENBallet is unable to distinguish between opinions and facts. In every ballet company there are dancers who do not agree with how they are evaluated by their artistic directors. The only fact in these libels is that Tamara and Isaac are togethre, the rest are opinions sent from the cowardice of anonymity and, therefore, whoever publishes them without verifying the opinion of those denounced is doing tendentious and sensationalist journalism or pursuing shameful spurious goals.
  13. Doesn’t this sound a bit musty ethnicism? Ciro Tamayo is from Spain and is a principal Dancer at National Ballet of Uruguay (SODRE) under the Artistic Direction of Julio Bocca. Going through the list of 69 dancers I only find: One Mexican and 3 Brazilian, no Cubans at the moment as Cesar Corrales is Canadian I would like to remind that propagating xenophobia is a crime in the UK
  14. Just going through the last two years I can find the following although I am probably missing something: March 2016 – Wimbledon Theatre April 2016 – Sadler’s Wells June 2016 – Royal Albert Hall June 2016 – Palais Garnier, Paris March 2017 – Sadler’s Wells May 2017 – Lodz, Poland June 2017 - Belfast July 2017 – Tokyo and Nagoya August 2017 – Royal Festival Hall
  15. What I would like to know is how many students from White Lodge make it to either RBS or ENBS
  16. As I was not under the impression that Rojo has invited so many guests to partner her I have gone through the last two year’s schedules. Of course I am sure I am forgetting some programs/performandes but what I have found is the following: Season - 2016/17 Akram Khan’s Giselle: Rojo – Streeter (company dancer) Nutcracker: Rojo - Hernández (company dancer) Skeaping’s GISELLE: Rojo – Parish (replacing Cao – Allen Season 2015-16 Barcelona - Swan Lake: Rojo - Hernandez (Company dancer) NUTCRACKER: Tamara Rojo - Osiel Gouneo (guest dancer) LE CORSAIRE Coliseum: Tamara Rojo – Hernandez (company dancer) Le Corsaire Oman: Rojo – Hernandez (company dancer) LE CORSAIRE PARIS: Rojo - Hernandez (company dancer) BROKEN WINGS: Rojo - Mukhamedov (ENB’s Artistic Team member) SWAN LAKE RAH - 2016: Rojo - Hernandez (company dancer) Season 2014-2015 SWAN LAKE MANCHESTER: Rojo - Souza (company dancer) OXFORD COPPELIA: Rojo - Acosta (Company dancer) NUTCRACKER: Rojo - Souza (company dancer) SWAN LAKE: Rojo - Lendorf (guest dancer) Madrid: Lest we Forget No Man’s Land: Rojo - Berlanga (ENB former dancer) Dust: Rojo – Streeter (company dancer Colombia Swan Lake: Rojo - Hernandez (Company dancer)
  17. I believe general rehearsals are only recorded for archives, using one fix camera and not close up so it would not be suitable for distribution
  18. I think they just don't have the money to do so. They don’t have a theatre and I don’t think any of the theatres they use have recording facilities and/or online transmissions to cinemas around the world. Being so tight on money must be a real problem and a continuous headache for ENB
  19. Shiori Kase was promoted to Principal last night after her performance at the Paris Opera Garnier. Huge congratulations, she deserves it!
  20. Just checked the RAH, there are 8 tickets for tonight’s performance and everything else is sold out… very glad for ENB but I was thinking of going back Sunday…
