AnneMarriott
Booking opened this morning at 9 am. There was a brief wait and then I was in and out in a few minutes. Astonishingly there were stalls circle standing tickets - good ones too. some of them - available for all the dates I wanted to book. It hasn't been this good in years, so thank you to all involved. Fingers crossed that all previous glitches have been resolved once and for all.

AnneMarriott
I forgot!Oh! Perhaps it's the programming? In which case my joy is down more to the relative lack of interest than the relative speed of service and cornucopia of tickets. edited to correct typo. Beryl H
Afraid so I think, I got mine very quickly too, amphi looked almost unsold.
Mary
Me too! (I suspect the summer booking might be even easier as it is the least appealing for some time- one triple bill only, and not exactly everyone's cup of tea)
John Mallinson
I forgot! Incidentally, when checking booking dates this morning I came upon this statement on the ROH website: 8 December - Booking opens for Friends, Young Friends and Senior Friends for all ballet performances and events. Who are these Senior Friends? Can I be one? Do they have privileges or a reduced subscription?

zxDaveM
perhaps slack sales due to an event occurring towards the end of the month, which is usually a bit heavy on the wallet for most folks...
alison
Well, I must say that this morning's gleanings were pathetic: two tickets for Winter's Tale, and not even first cast - hardly anything else in my price range. Guess I shall be getting a lot of day seats ... Oh, and whose idea was it to give all the WT matinees to the same cast, more or less? Not helpful to people travelling from afar. pasdedeux
Made my purchases yesterday and eventually chose to forgo ballet entirely for the spring season, despite being tempted by the all student date for Frankenstein (stalls for £20!). Unfortunately, I'm the sort that vastly prefers McGregor to Wheeldon so I can't envisage myself booking for the summer's triple bill either. Looks like my RB ballet season will sadly end after Giselle, although it will mean funds for Bolshoi tickets!
aileen
Does anyone know if Winter's Tale has been revised in any way?
alison
I don't, but I expect it has been.
munchkin16
I'm very tempted to book tickets to see Winters Tale again. I saw the cast with Cuthbertson and Lamb last time. I might rebook for that unless anyone can suggest a different cast that might be interesting to see? I really liked it last time.
alison
First and second casts were both very good, the second having the advantage in the middle act, I thought. The third sounds highly promising as well

Tony Newcombe
The new casting of Calvert, Soares, Hayward and Hay should be worth watching. 3 of their 4 performances Are matinees.
