    If they have said in the email that boarding is open you will be fine, good luck to everyone auditioning. Hammond is such a lovely place. DS is hoping for someone to join from north of the border. He feels like he is representing all on his own lol 😂

    Absolutely. My DS knew that without MDS he wouldn’t be going. Even with 30% off it would’ve been well beyond our means. If you are wanting to visit boarding I’d make sure it’s pre arranged as a lot of the time no one is there during the day x

    If I remember rightly last year after the MDS were given out some kids were given a 30% fee reduction.

    Waitlist for DS too. he gott a place off the waitlist last year so will see what happens x

    They changed it last year to tracksuits. The kids wear polo shirts of different colours depending on their year x

    My DS attended last year at age 11 and there were a few students from overseas but within Europe x

    I did this last year and my DS was wait listed and then offered a place a few weeks later so you should be fine x

    They do some stretching during the audition, I wouldn’t worry as my ds got a place and was no where near his splits.

    The current Y7 has 13 kids currently. It’s a small year. I do know that not all of them have MDS. From what I can tell they never tell you exactly how many places there are. At the funding finals the kids are ranked and awards are given to the top kids. That said there is ALOT of movement from the waiting lists once all results are out.

    It’s so hard when they get a no. DS had 2 nos before finally receiving a yes last year. As hard as it is for them when it does happen it will be even more special x

    DS was successful in achieving MDS for his chosen school last year. The calculator on RBS was amazingly accurate. It was only £30 different to the actual award hope this helps x

    DS made up his own tap solo last year and was offered a place. We were advised to use the solo to show his unique personality and style.

    Ds has his audition on Tuesday in Dundee for Y8. Not expecting a place especially with no assessing out but he really wanted to try x
