  1. I’ve already confirmed twice. When I got the original email and then when they updated the link. Today’s email said to confirm you accept the offer made (same as the second link) so I took that as the offer of waiting list. I’ve emailed back to ask if I need to do it for a 3rd time but will do it again if I don’t hear back.
  2. Oh yes. That would make it tricky. I didn’t realise. Apologies. I’ve certainly heard a lot of good things about Moorland and I think you can have a virtual tour?
  3. My DD is only 10 so her place is just for Summer School. Although we may apply next year for full time. Could you look at the summer school ahead of September ?
  4. I’m pretty sure it’s the one email. Pre Covid I recall someone auditioning in Newcastle for Leeds and they got their results with all the Newcastle results even though they’d applied to attend Leeds and those results were issued later (if that makes sense!)
  5. Just nearly had heart failure receiving another email from the intensive team. It was just about an acceptance form technical hitch 😂. We did our waitlist acceptance and didn’t notice a problem 😁
  6. Thank you. Not waitlisted for that one so will see if there’s any spaces when it opens up to the general public.
  7. We haven’t received an email for this. Is the priority booking for those that have previously attended or did the last online ones? DDs a JA so in the royal system as it were. I’d be interested in booking the contemporary classes. Unfortunately for ballet they have to be age 10 and a grade 5 which seems a bit of a leap.
  8. Fab, congratulations. Even though the chance of a place is slim, it’s just so much more positive than a no! 😁 x
  9. Waitlist for my DD too. After a flat no for spring I’m ridiculously happy that we’ve progressed to waitlist 😁. Now DD can continue to look forward to Moorland.
  10. See it was the penny that did it 😁. DD has been waitlisted so while not a yes, definitely not a flat no and now she won’t have to choose. I’m ridiculously happy that she even got the waitlist 😁. I hope you all get the responses you’re looking for.
  11. I’ve just found a penny!!!! Granted it was in my washing machine so could have been mine in the first place but I still found it so that’s got to mean good news is coming surely 😁!!! Honestly the madness it drives you to!!! @Dancedreamerso many lovely opportunities for your DS, but also so much longer to wait. Fingers crossed positive news comes your way. @BalletBoyMumma I can’t imagine what it must be like waiting for vocational results as they really could be life changing. And very tricky too if that then also leads to more decisions. Good luck to you and your family. @GabrielleDeVI hate doing videos (and photos) it leads to more arguments than anything else but I agree, Moorlands does look amazing, DD loves the look of it so we’re glad we battled through.
  12. @TwirlyWhirlygood luck to your DS. You must be in complete tenter hooks just waiting in your room. I hope he has a fab day. @GabrielleDeVwell done on wait list for spring. That’s one step ahead of my DD 😂. We’re exactly the same re experience of boarding before diving into the vocational round next year. DD is adamant she wants to go away to school so thought summer school will give her a good insight into what it may be like being away from home. Moorland auditions are still open until the 2nd April. I think it’s a quirk of the system that we’ve found out already, as they said results would be after the closing date which is the 2nd April. There is also Malvern which isn’t by audition and which was definitely on our list too.
  13. The class changes to mix year 5 and six n Leeds were definitely Covid related to make space for the new year 4s that joined. There were 9 year 5s in December, I think the intention was to split them in half, so half staying in the Yr4/5 class and half joining the year 6, I think though that there’s only 9 girls in the year 5/6 class 3 are year 5s. I don’t know if next year will go back to normal. If so there will be about 9 year 6s plus any new. And then the current year 4s will be year 5s (there’s only a couple) so space for year 4s and 5s.
  14. Hello It’s that time of year when so many are waiting for emails and the post for audition results that I thought I’d start this light hearted thread about what we all go through (think obsessively checking emails!) I know many of you are waiting for more important results than me at the moment. We’re just waiting for the hallowed RBS Summer Intensive. We’re very lucky as DD already has a place at Moorland Summer School which she is very excited about and being offered a place at RBS would mean DD would have to make a choice. .... But, that doesn’t seem to stop me from obsessively checking my emails, not hourly, but every 10 minutes despite me setting my notifications to max volume and my phone right by my side. It’s very unlikely DD will be offered a place. She was a flat no for spring and while her photos are a million times better this time round, she could have turned out a bit more here and sickled a little less there, overall the pictures are gorgeous (I can say that, I’m her mum 😁) but if you look closely it’s easy to be critical. While I don’t know the result yet, there’s still hope, and yet I’d rather know so I can get on with my day (life!). Every morning I wake up with hope that today will be the day, and I can relax a little until about 11, knowing they won’t come too early. Between 11am and 3pm I’m at my worst constantly checking my emails, spam, is my ringer still turned on, has anyone on here posted anything that might have some insight that they could be today! By 4pm hope is dwindling that it will be today and by 6pm my life returns to a semi normal state. I can’t begin to imagine how it must be for all those of you that are waiting for vocational results (that may well be us next year!) Anyone else? 😁
  15. Great news. I did send another one today too. Perhaps they’re just inundated.
  16. I received a response to my email today. DD does have a place on the summer school 😁
  17. That doesn’t give me much hope in hearing back from my summer school enquiry.
  18. Do you think they’ll reply to my clarification email? I really want to tell DD but I daren’t. The application said an email with offer and details of the deposit will be sent. Or perhaps all that will come after the deadline? But that’s a long time to keep this to myself??
  19. Really? I daren’t tell DD just in case it’s an admin error!
  20. Hello, Has anyone had responses from Moorlands? I emailed an enquiry about summer school auditions a couple of weeks ago and had a lovely response within a couple of hours, so last week we submitted our audition video. I didn’t receive an acknowledgement email and the closing date isn’t until 2nd April but yesterday, at about the same time as her video was viewed (briefly) for the second time, I received an email with a portal registration and once registered and logged in it says my DD as upcoming summer school registration and boarding registration. I’ve emailed them to see if this means she’s been offered a place, but I’m wondering if it’s just generic system generated? I’m also thinking if you guys haven’t heard back yet, I might be in for a bit of a wait?
  21. Leeds are on a Saturday. Pre Covid Year 4 and 5 were in the afternoon 12.15 to 2.30pm and year 6 9.30am - 11.45. Now though the classes are year 4 and 5 mix in the aft and year 5 and 6 in the morning (same times) so the year 5s have been split in half. This was to even out the children in the studios due to Covid. I don’t know if it will change from Sept and go back to how it was previously.
  22. Congratulations to your DD. DD did EYB in 2019. She was 8 at the time of rehearsals and 9 by the time of the performance. I don’t know about Cinderella in Hollywood as DD did Swan Lake but it was absolutely brilliant experience. All the parts are brilliant and in Swan Lake each child was in 2/3 acts so very evenly split. The rehearsals are long but DD loved every minute of it, I spent a lot of time in the waiting room reading, but that’s not new in the world of dance parents 😁 The production itself was fantastic. I hope your DD has a great time.
  23. Oh even better then! You’re our closest centre so maybe they’ll do it for all? I agree WL seems a very long way!
