  1. Thanks Lin, I certainly plan to go, though which cast(s) to choose will take some pondering...
  2. Thanks Xandra...I don't actually know the work, so I will be guided by your explanation!
  3. Logic is not the guiding principle of the website at present, so isn't the above rather an assumption at this stage? Unless there is some other clear source of information....
  4. I am happy with Takada/ McRae and Hayward/Campbell for Manon and SB but pleased also for some variation in that theme for Coppelia, with Takada/Bracewell and Hayward/ McRae instead.

  7. Our records show that you are due to attend a performance of The Firebird / A Month in the Country / Symphony in C. We are contacting you to let you know about the following cast changes: A Month in the Country Matthew Ball will replace William Bracewell Symphony in C Yuhui Choe will replace Akane Takada Vadim Muntagirov will replace Steven McRae Nicol Edmonds will replace Reece Clarke
  8. Plus it is Nunez and Muntagirov, yet again, for the Coppelia live screening... At least the cast for the triple bill live screening will be a bit more diverse.
  9. I don't understand why you have had problems Lin, but I am pretty sure it is nothing to do with the fact you are not a Friend! (As far as I am aware, balletcoforum is not able to censure downloads of pdfs based on the ROH membership status of the user)! Would you like me to send it to you as an attachment to a private message, and see if that works?
  10. Got it.... AutumnBalletCasting2019.pdf NB: For Monotones casting, see Bluebird's post on page 8
  11. If that is official, presumably the details could be shared by some kind person in the know?
  12. Anyone heard anything about when the Autumn casting will be announced? On Tuesday I was told it was "imminent" and would be up by today. Nothing yet...😕
  13. It has been a great privilege to have been able to see the Hayward/Corrales partnership develop over their three performances, from different viewing points in the auditorium- last night from my first ever front row seat. A complete joy to be able to see everyone's acting and dancing from so close up - well worth the disappearance of the bottom couple of inches of their feet. As if there wasn't enough happening on the stage, I found peering into the orchestra pit fascinating, and being able to see who was playing each of the (now) well known themes. You really get an appreciation of how the whole music comes together. Good to see many more ladies in the orchestra now compared to on DVDs from a few years back. The French horn section (seated on the extreme left as seen from the audience) all got up and left before the end of the final Act 1 PDD - not being needed for the last few minutes. Perhaps they were desperate to be first to the bar. This may explain some rather wobbly notes later on! It was good to see Leticia Stock back again, as posted above, and I loved that Romany Pajdak also got a bouquet at the end. The three boys got up to all sorts of tricks - Sambe jumped on Tybalt's little stool as he exited after his cheeky dance, which I don't remember before, and didn't one or other of them poke Tybalt in the rear at one point? But back to the main pair- a really lovely partnership has developed here, and it is making me think of where they might feature in forthcoming castings. Manon perhaps? I would not be surprised....
  14. She seems to do a lot of external work with Bolle at La Scala...for whatever reason, do you think she has become somewhat semi-detached from the RB? It was great to see her in rehearsal for R&J in the Paul Hamlyn Hall by the way.
  15. I don't think that is fair. I don't recognise your description of how this site works at all. It cannot be easy moderating a site like this and overall I think the mods. here do a great job, balancing freedom of expression and opinion with occasionally stepping in when discussions descend into endless repetition, point-scoring, or abuse/trolling (albeit the latter appears pretty rare on here ). Or just pointing people back to the actual subject matter of a discussion when it has gone off-piste. Usually all this is done sensitively and by posting an appropriate observation, or by sending people a private message, rather than closing down a conversation. A civilised discussion among many people with diverse views benefits from someone acting, in effect, as a chair-person. Sim and the others do a great job as far as I am concerned and they should continue to receive our thanks and support.
  16. I just wanted to mention Tierney Heap in the context of possible future promotion at some stage. She is a really striking dancer and it is such a shame she has been out due to injury this season, for far too long. She has shared on social media that she has just had a successful operation (picture of bandaged leg), so let's wish her the quickest of possible recoveries so she can continue her powerful stage appearances.
  17. Yes let's hope for speedy recoveries for them both. Often a favoured pairing, and certainly very memorable together in Mayerling and La Bayadere last Autumn. I also love their recording of The Dream. It must be particularly sad for Akane to miss performing in her home country. I believe she is seen as something of a superstar there, and her fans will be so disappointed. At least they now have some 4 months for recuperation before the start of next season....
  18. Totally agree Elle. For me, they were the outstanding SL pairing.
