Give them an email or call. My DD ended up with chicken pox the week she auditioned for JAs and they said she could audition at another centre

Just had a look and the dates are the same as her dance schools summer school. Shame as it looks good......shall keep in mind for next year! Ooohhh it's a whole new world is this summer school business!

I guess a lot of the summer schools are difficult to get places on, but since it's the only one that is any where near us and offers day options, we are going to have a go

Hi My dd wants to do a summer school this year as she finds it a long time to not dance "properly" as she calls it, over the summer. I have a couple of questions. It is local to us so she would be a day student, as well as she is only 9 years old.....would she miss out on anything in the evening if she didn't board? Finally it's over two weeks but we can only do the second week as the first week is still school term for us. Again will she miss out on anything from the first week? Thanks everyone!!! My eldest daughter didn't start ballet until she was in Year 2 at school.....just before her 7th birthday. I enrolled her as I has just had her baby sister and the dancing round the living room was becoming dangerous with a baby on the floor!!!! After a few months they made her an Associate at her dance school, so extra lessons once a month. Then just after her 8th birthday I got an email saying she should have a go at the Royal Ballet School Junior Associate auditions. She got a place on that too!! No one else in our family has danced before and I thinks that why I put it off for so long. And now she has ended up being really good!!!

I was also just talking to my daughter about it....9 years old. She said she wouldn't want to stay away from home anyway! We live about 3 hours away, and she said she would missus too much. Saved me some money there then!!

It's all on there now. Can't do it sadly as we have other commitments

Smiggle do a lovely ballet slipper keyring and pencil case. I noticed them in store in Leeds last weekend and they just happened to be bought for my daughter! She's 9......she had spied them whilst we were in the week before buying pass the parcel prizes!

Hi everyone! Just wondering how all the rest of the new JAs are getting on? My daughter is loving it so far, despite the 6.30am alarm every Saturday and no break til Christmas! Still not worn her skirt or character shoes which she is dying to put on!!!!

We need to walk to our centre from train station or car park.....so think ours will be rolled up and in top of bag!!!!

Just booked tickets to go the Ann Maguire Gala in Leeds on Sunday. There's no school on Monday so she can have a late night! She is just a little bit excited!!!!!

We don't start in Leeds til the 23rd.......my mum is currently making her skirt!!!! Not had an invoice yet either. Thought it was August too, and want to get it paid so I can sort out a holiday for next year!

That's really sad they don't seem to care My daughters school were very supportive and so pleased when she got the yes.

Would anyone be able to measure the length of their size 1 leotard from shoulder to crotch, before I think about ordering it?

Just received ours and agree about it being baggy around the crotch. I think if we size down it will be too short in the body for her.
