I must declare an interest - I'm playing Father Yelpidy (a dissolute priest) in this dark comedy based on The Suicide by Nikolai Erdman. http://www.towertheatre.org.uk/dying.htm 30 July - 3 August We have some competion - a Russian dance company at the ROH and a Mr Acosta at the Coliseum.

Since his departure from the Royal Ballet Sergei Polunin has been very vulnerable and easy 'prey' for journalists after a 'good story'. Don't believe everything they write. -

There is a wonderful DVD of Leonid Sarafanov and Olesya Novikova dancing Don Quixote with the Mariinsky. Andrei Merkuriev is a great Espada - and Anton Lukovkin (now with ENB) a great Sancho Panza.- 110 replies

The interview took place when Sergei was at the ROH rehearsing M&A. In it he speaks of drugs,tattoos and self harm. The 'update' suggests he may be 'doing it all again' - which is 'why he vanished from rehearsals of Midnight Express'. It makes no mention of Igor Zelensky. No doubt this shoddy piece of journalism will satisfy Peter Schaufuss.
