Anyone know how many they call back for finals? There seem to be a lot getting finals... trying to figure out if they'll all be in one class or split over several!

It's all so tough isn't it? Applying to the good schools and the long wait to know for sure if you can actually go or not, whether it's finals or funding finals. I guess that's also part of parents appeal for Rambert, if you get a place you get a place, funding/finals not an issue... just the small hurdle of getting a place!! The 5 girls keep back was that just from one of the sessions that day or both? Does anyone know if you're in the morning session, do you have to wait until after the afternoon session for everyone that day to do solos together or is it straight away?

Did anyone do the Rambert audition yesterday? I would be interested to know how many were there and how many got asked to stay on to do solos? Thanks.

Have been waiting a while to see if any other yes's for finals came up... it seems a very very small number that are through (I'm talking upper school here), feeling almost like there's no point turning up to DD's audition! Knew it would be tough but it seems even harder this year

Got an email today confirming audition date, phew! I think they must have been swamped as they were so late releasing their forms!!

Anyone heard back from enb yet? Sent forms off a week or so ago, all other schools came back with audition dates super fast!

Pleased to report DD had amazing week, loved it all and desperate to go again next year. Though also disappointed with the showcase - 1/2 a ballet dance and a short musical theatre number isn't much. Was beginning to wonder if they were even going to be in it!!

Gollyrox, I so hope he's having a better time now dance classes have started. The arrival bit was pretty daunting, everyone seemed to know someone/everyone and no one spoke to the others it seemed. My DD wouldn't let me leave as didn't want to be on her own... it was hard to find some girls to leave her with!! Then worried all the way home... Rocky start but she's now fine and seems to have made a few friends (she too is desperately shy!). If you're still worried contact Helen Siddle (numbers/email in the final info pack under emergency contact) - I'm sure she won't mind, she seemed very nice when I spoke to her. Hope it's good news from him soon :-)

I'm still getting my head around the no aerosols bit... Not sure how my DD will cope without her usual whaft of deodorant and body spray! Heehee

DD nervous about summer school as doesn't know anyone else (she's 14)... Anyone else feeling the same? Any other newbies the same age going? She also wants to know if the teaching staff are friendly or is it quite strict? (Really want her to enjoy it so hoping they learn lots but that it's also a fun week and not tooooo serious!)
