  1. OTOH, some have popped up for various of what they're calling "The Dream" bill ...
  2. Yes, but these are side amphi tickets, which used to be relatively cheap. I'm not going to look at how much they were last time around, because it'll only depress me, but I'd guess they were £20 or below.
  3. Darn, I was in transit on the train, and of course they've gone now, but thanks anyway.
  4. There currently appear to be double-digit numbers of tickets - admittedly nearing or over £100 - for several of the Spring season performances available (including one Kaneko/Muntagirov).
  5. From what I saw online during lockdown and photos I've seen since, I'd guess that the main stage would have been way too big for them. But something the size of the Peacock Theatre would probably have been best suited, had it been possible.
  6. Welcome to the forum, Topcat. I've moved your post to the Doing Dance forum, where training is discussed, and I'm sure someone will be along shortly with an answer to your questions.
  7. Well, that was rather disappointing. I prioritised Sarasota, and got a couple of tickets I wouldn't usually have bothered paying for because of the restricted views, but that's the Linbury for you , and needs must ... Struggled to get tickets for the Ashton bill because The Dream is nearly an hour long, which restricts which seats I can be comfortable in, and most of the ones I was targeting had already gone. No standing whatsoever by then, surprise, surprise. No standing left by then for either Swan Lake or Winter's Tale on dates that I could manage, so I haven't booked anything for WT. Will have to wait and hope I can get standing nearer the time, and/or that there's a decent offer for WT, because I certainly can't pay £49 just to have a seat, thank you very much. Oh, and depending on where I was on the screens (I only had the one screen open), I allegedly either had 5 or 14 minutes left in which to pay. I decided to play it safe, and just finished my booking with the Ashtons.
  8. I forgot to comment after last Friday's performance: performances varied, but generally I thought Different Drummer was much better focused the second time round - and I liked Osipova's Marie very much.
  9. I can beat you on that: £33 for the 1989 run (and £10 for the standbys - my first).
  10. I'd say possibly the left: there's another staircase at the back which I'm not sure you could see from the right. Btw, thanks for the reminder: I'd completely forgotten!
  11. Perhaps we could get back to the main subject of this thread now?
  12. I somehow managed to miss out on this, but: "The clock is ticking! You have just 24 hours left to make double the difference in our Arts for Impact campaign. You have until 12pm (midday) on Tuesday 26th March to make your donation. We’re delighted to see that just under £2.5m has been raised so far - and there’s still time to have your donation doubled!" And yes, there are dance-related charities included - among other things.

Just tried to tweak my pension online, almost bang on midnight: "This service is normally available from 1:30 AM UK time. We apologise for any inconvenience caused." Huh?! It's a UK company. The logic of having it available from 1.30 AM, but not at midnight, totally escapes me. Or does it think its customers are REAL night owls?
  14. Dances at a Gathering is Robbins
  15. I see - entirely by accident, because I'm pretty certain I haven't received the email - this is on in the cinema tomorrow. Worth going?
  16. Just wondering, has anyone tried getting through the cinema showings to anything but the cinema closest to you? I'm struggling.
  17. Well, I'm assuming that, as a general member of the public, either seats will be available to me or they'll be hidden unless you belong to a specified other category. So I can't see any particular point in my logging in - although in fact it turns out that I am logged in here, and still can't see any seats.
  18. Johan Inger will be talking about his production of Carmen for ENB later on today.
  19. Well, again, they weren't showing up on the performances I looked at, hence my choice of the word "allegedly", because I didn't want to get people's hopes up too much.
  20. I booked on Saturday. I wasn't even asked for my Membership number first, although that would obviously have come up when they took my personal details.
  21. There are currently (allegedly) a few cheap-ish tickets available for many of the May dates of the Spring run, in case anyone's interested.
  22. Oops, I'd totally forgotten that I'd already asked for this year!
  23. Just make sure it's not when you're standing - the Stalls Circle is cramped enough at times as it is! Talking about comps, something I'd heard recently rather suggested that they were generally a thing of the past, certainly for the sort of programmes which would be expected to sell out.
