But is still no use to anyone who wants to buy a ticket but doesn't fall into one of the categories. Perhaps it may be worth checking back in case they are released but as pointed out elsewhere for those of us who have to book train tickets, hotels and kennel for dog it is frustrating to say the least. I had my eye on a ticket for Manon at a performance where, when I first looked, there was a decent choice of seats. By the time I made up my mind to go for it a few days later not only had that ticket gone but the whole auditorium was showing as sold out. Then it became like the Hokey Cokey - some appeared, some disappeared, some appeared elsewhere, some disappeared elsewhere, the train and hotel prices had gone up so I gave up and settled for the cinema viewing which, while I enjoyed, was not the cast I had wanted to see. -

In my early days of ballet watching I was so naive that I though mere mortals couldn't go to Covent Garden! I do remember doing a day trip to see a matinee of Manon and the weather forecast was for heavy snow. A friend suggested I took a basic overnight kit just in case and to dress for the weather. It was one of the first times I had been in the stalls. I was dressed in jeans and a warm sweater. I can remember several people in what was the stalls bar at the back tutting me. It was off-putting to say the least!

A signed pair of Martha Leebolt's pointe shoes is one of my prized possessions and a lovely reminder of one of my most favourite dancers.

I don't think it's unusual for any company to offer comps to company members for performances that are not selling hugely well but definitely not if they are.

According to the downloadable cast sheets on BRB's website Beatrice made her debut on the Saturday evening in Southampton at the start of the tour. I think some injury/illness problems caused the switching around of casts during those few days.

Well the title of the thread does say 2025! I wouldn’t take the photographs too literally, they are probably just for illustrative purposes. The dance area at these performances is tiny so the company may have to see which excerpts will fit without compromising the piece. These evenings began as showcases for the orchestra and I am sad that that emphasis seems to have been removed.
