When DD was looking at Uni courses, none of her vocational exam (dance/ drama/ music) UCAS points counted for anything! ( and she has several hundreds! )

My DC found this too. It was because dance was not in any way relevant to the courses they were looking at (sciences) unfortunately. DC still dances but has given up on dance exams (for now).

I’m so surprised to hear this as feel there should be consistency! My daughter’s degree (LLB)  is  totally unrelated also - how annoying for your dd!

It’s ok, my DC has taken the dance exams off of their schedule and actually goes to classes for respite from their busy studying now. Still learning the syllabus but one less thing to stress about. :) It’s working out better, interestingly - DC feels dance is so much easier to ‘get’ without the pressure. And comes home happier too whenever they’ve had a class.

It would have been nice to be able to include all of those points accrued over the years though. 😅

Moorland offer A levels. My DD has an offer there - we're currently weighing options up!

She loves the school but I suspect won't manage more than 2 A levels alongside the training...
