Can anyone tell me if they have found pointe shoe ribbon but narrow? I need a really soft ribbon but it’s needs to be only 1.5cm wide

Do you mind if I ask why narrow ribbons are sensory ribbons?

I just did a quick google for '15mm ballet shoe ribbon' and lots came up on ebay, and dance shops. 

The other place to look is a haberdashery/fabric shop.

I might have misunderstood, but I think the grosgrain ribbon that is sold as narrow ballet shoe ribbon is not the texture that Mamtoballetgirls is looking for. Pointe shoe ribbon is soft on both sides, and much more silky from a sensory point of view.

 

Somewhere like Hobbycraft or a haberdashery would have the softer ribbon, if that is what you are looking for, but not specifically for ballet shoes (in fact, it doesn’t work well for ballet shoes because it is too silky and comes undone!).

@MamtoballetgirlsDo you mean the soft double sided nylon ribbon? Some dance shops sell it and I have also purchased it online.

Yes it’s normally the really soft pointe shoe ribbon but it is 2.5cm wide, we use satin ballet shoes for our grades but with a thinner 1.5cm width ribbon but it’s a lot stiffer, so I need the pointe shoe style but only 1.5cm, all the ones I seem to find they just aren’t soft enough.
