Unlike others, I'm very glad to see The Unknown Soldier being nominated. Although far from perfect it had a lot to recommend it.

Not sure how you can decide between a performance, designs, or choreography in terms of the outstanding achievement award. Akram Khan's performances are always outstanding, though I personally was a bit disappointed in Xenos as a work; the SL designs were certainly praiseworthy; and I haven't seen The Great Tamer so can't comment.

Interestingly, the ROH saw fit to put this up as 'news' but did not deign to do so when Marianela Nunez and Vadim Muntagirov  both won the Best Dancer Awards from The Critics' Circle two weeks ago.

However, the ROH has now closed the thread to comments before any have been revealed.

Very odd to have a ‘Comments for this article are closed’ notice within hours of the news item being published - was there any opportunity to comment when the news was first published?

To be honest I don’t recall such a notice before and from a very quick look on the website, News pages appear open to comments.
