Lemongirl
Little dd is following in her older sister's footsteps and developing a love of dance. I am looking for a summer dance course for her, can anyone recommend one please? She is 10, Year 5. She does ballet (probably her least favourite though!), tap, modern, jazz and hip-hop. Loves jazz best! She's not a very strong dancer but does enjoy it so I don't want something where it's too professional or she'll be out of her league. She doesn't want to board so has to be within easy reach of London/Herts. Any suggestions please?
tropicmama
Tring summer dance course sounds like it would suit your DD as they do quite a few genres, not just ballet. They have one commencing on 30th July and again one from 28th August.
taxi4ballet
Yes, I'd second the Tring one, there are residential and non-residential options I think.
drdance
Depends where you are in the country and whether you can travel but MIDAS summer course would suit your DD; more information on www.midas-dance.org.uk Summer course page
Jan McNulty
Clickable link for Midas.
sarahw
Does the Harpenden course still run anyone?
Anna C
No, but last year a couple of the Harpenden staff taught at the Herts Summer Dance school over in Hertford. I assume that's running again this year and it definitely covered several different dance styles.

Lemongirl
Thank you, Tring is certainly a possibility. Anna - do you know any more details of the Hertford one please?
drdance
@Moomin Not yet as I'm still securing the staff for the different days - keep an eye on FB / website etc for more details but bear in mind that the more people that book in, the more guest teachers I can afford to bring in! Lemongirl
Thank you, it looks good. I was sort of hoping it would be a the start of the holidays; I will be taking dd1 to Hertford every day to do 3 Counties Ballet and thought I could kill two birds with one stone!
